  1. it's head held high, there were 2 mistakes lol
  2. the loophole used to be if it was a vehicle/engine combination used before the cats became law they would pass it, this however may have changed in the new rules. it is however worth checking the import date of your car, it'll be on your log book as first registered date, if it's after 2001/2 i believe all cars should have cats, you will just need to show them the car is older as they test it as it was new at the first registered date, had it with mine year before last as it was imported/registered 2002, i just had show them the log book showing 1990 as manufacture year
  3. before i order a new one has anybody got a decent condition targa seal (the rubber seal that seals against the door glass) just discovered mine has a split in it. looking for one for the drivers side.
  4. i's like to put mine forward, just to see how it fairs, mine definitely isn't show worthy but very much a work in progress and has improved considerably over the last year or 2. still a lot to do but it's getting there slowly
  5. i went to order the above door seals got quoted $72 shipping, however had a heavier order last week which is on it's way and that was only $35 shipping
  6. maybe handy to someone, window trims for the front doors on sale at £76 per pair for today only. https://conceptzperformance.com/kuruma-z-door-window-moldings-coupe-converitlbe-or-22-nissan-300zx-z32-80821-vp100_p_8218.php
  7. got standard h3c in mine and since having all my headlight reflectors re-silvered they have been great, i've got the super white in the main beam and they are really good, in fact just bought a pair of h3c for the dip beam, not fitted them yet but will try and get a couple of pics when i do

i've voted for 9th-11th aug, but will depend on work commitments plus it's my birthday weekend so other things may crop up
  9. today progress, found a new location for the pioneers amp, just need to sort the wiring, rerouted the wires for the alarm interior sensors, dab aerial and hand free mic, i ran these across the top of the dash and strapped them to the main loom. mounted the alarm box out of the way, but still accessible if needed. remounted the driver door vent ducting (under the dash). then replaced the dash into position, it's not bolted it yet however and i just need to reroute the rear foglight wire (the red wire hanging out) but i couldn't be arsed to move my van out of the garage to get to my soldering iron lol.
  10. it's no to difficult when you have removed the interior trim etc, mine was already damaged and broken so i didn't worry about not damaging it too much. but the replacement has been removed undamaged so no reason why it shouldn't come out in 1
  11. i have a few things to do whilst the dash is out, i need to relocate and mount the alarm as it was just tucked up under the dash, i also need to re-run a few wires that have been added for the alarm sensors/ dab aerial etc plus i have bought a small pioneer amp for the audio so i want to make sure that with it's wiring are neatly tucked away somewhere.
  12. well i decided to start on my dashboard swap.............
  13. hi guys after a few small bits if anyone can help (or can give me part numbers), i'm going to be replacing my dash in a couple of weeks, and got a few 'bit's missing so the list original screws to hold the radio surround (both top & both for the centre bar) original screws to mount the radio brackets to the dash (i think these are the same as above) damper for the rear of the glovebox (i think these are separate) as mine is broken centre console screw covers (the round covers that go in the bottom of the console under the arm rest) screw covers for the drivers side window switch surround good condition drivers window switch surround (although i may buy new as they are only £30ish i think that's it anything i think of/update i'll edit as i go.
  14. so after a little bit of fault finding this morning, i found the cause to the headlight problem & horn not working, i had a targa leak earlier in the year and even though it never leaked on the wiring plugs in the passenger foot well as it had a piece of soundproofing stuck over it, it turns out 2 of the pins in the green connector broke when i pulled the connectors apart, the pins were still in situ but when i went to check continuity i found them to be very loose & wobbly, it turns out they had broken at the base of the pins. at the time i had no idea what these connectors did so as far as i knew everything was working it was only when i went to drive it yesterday i found the faults. anyhow cut the 2 offending wires from the plug and soldered in a new length of cable on each and all is back to normal.
  15. now sorted, ran a new from the relay to the switch and it's all now back to life, just got to sort the horn now as that has also stopped working (relay is fine)
  16. hi guys go a slight issue currently with my head lights, drivers side dip & main on dim, passenger main on dim & dip is ok, so far i've swapped relays, with no difference, checked i have power to the RH headlight relay and that seems to be ok, if i bypass the relay on the rh headlight it comes to life, if i bypass the switch i can get passenger side to work not drivers, so i'm guessing it's in the wiring somewhere, perhaps a broken wire maybe? i have put new fuses in, only thing i've not checked is the dim relay but i'm not 100% sure that works or has anything to do with the problem. if i switch to main beam passenger main comes to life both drivers beams stay on dim. it's a 1990 jam looking for any help advice please.
  17. any news/price on those a pillar trims?
  18. ok cool could you grab me a couple of pics please? and a price for the pair
  19. i bought twin tones off ebay for about £20 earth one pin to the bracket and your good to go
  20. for sale is a working aircon condenser, i bought it last year to fit to my car but have now decided i'm either going to dump the aircon or buy a brand new condenser later in the year (i only ever drive with the tops off) i have put a little air pressure into this condenser and it holds ok, slight twisting to one of the pipes (i guess where it was removed) looking to recoup what it cost me at £55 plus post, payment will be via PayPal as a gift.
  21. bit late to the party do you have the a pillar trims? (the 2 trims that go either side inside the windscreen) with clips etc? what condition are the windscreen & roof trims in? and the door window rubbers if they are available of course
  22. you can buy the aircon pod new from nissan genuine for £30 odd quid
  23. hi guys has anybody got any of the metal a pillar interior trim clips? or the complete trims with clips, but must be in very good condition, ideally need both sides (or clips to do both)
