Black-zed

hi guys can anyone tell me what this sensor is on my zed (see photo) i have one of these each side both with a vacuum pipe disconected do these need to be connected? cheers for the help kev

hi guys just after a little info my headlamps are very dim the globes on the dip beam side seem to be frosted is this normal? also the car has halfords bulbs in do the original nissan one's make a difference? my car is uk spec by the way cheers kev

it does depend if u carry dark glasses or not

down to chepstow then m48/m4 or down to monmouth then through to newport if u don't wanna pay at least they dont charge to get out of wales i'll be up for this one it's only a hour from me

i bought them second hand and no nuts were supplied but they are 60 degree as the z nuts

i've just bought some s/h smiths wheels does anyone know if the standard z wheel nuts fit these or if i need different nuts

yeah wheels are on list of things to do only had the car just over a month so early days yet want to get the mot sorted first any ideas who the black z was later on?

i spotted 2 zed in ross on wye sat night one red one that stopped to look at my uk spec and my mates j-spec parked up and another black one later on

i'm 34 0 no claims bonus on my z (mine are on my bmw) carole nash £256 fully comp on classic insurance next best quote was admiral @£449 on 10 month bonus accelerator

have tried that and all the connections in that area only 3 things i can put it down to the light switch,relay or dodgy connection on dim dip unit(as dim dip always works but full dip beam does not)

so the other question remains can anybody tell me where the bloody dim dip unit is on a uk spec z?

cheers for the help on that ivan i tested the theory about pedal sensors and lifted the cluthch pedal slightly whils driving then tried cruise control and it works looks like i got that to do this weekend that'll be fun just the mot to go in 2 weeks

can any one help i have a uk spec zx when i bought it the passenger side headlight dip beam was wired into the drivers side so i decided to connect it back up and hey presto dim dip worked but the passenger side headlight sometimes works ok and others it won't work however dim dip always works with no prob so is the problem my dim dip unit or the main light switch? also where is the dim dip unit located? now to my second problem my cruise control won't work it turns on but thats about all it won't set to a speed, when i was poking around under the bonnet the other day i found to round sensors one on each side which take 3 vacuum pipes and have 2 wires plugged into the top on each both have had a vacuum pipe disconected are these to do with the cruise control if anyone has any ideas why it's not working or what the sensors are let me know cheers guys & gals. :headvswal
