Tracking & wheel aligmnet?
Mine is 35mm lowered and on wider rims, but always aligned to stock settings, it makes a huge difference in feel on the handling

What did you do to your zed today?
well over the last few days i did an interior swap, the worst bit was converting the door cards to series 1 to accommodate the seat belts but all went ok, i have even reclaimed my glove box and concealed the boost controller under the ecu cover. now it just needs a good clean ready to take out over the weekend

interior panels
hi guys just after a little advice, i picked up a nice series 2 suede interior panels today, the only issue i can see with them is the rear 1/4 panels the front & top of the raised part the suede has come away from the panel, is it possible to gently pull the suede off these and re-glue them down? having never removed the suede before i don't know if there is any foam under the suede. or the best type of glue to do them.

boost controller
I'm not completely sure the wiring loom is long enough, not that I really use the boost I seem to always be in 50/60mph speed limits

boost controller
hi guys i currently have a hks evc 1 fitted to the zed, it was on the car when i bought it so i would imagine the car has been chipped, but i don't know for sure. anyway i don't like the way the solenoid has been fitted under the bonnet (bolted to the one front strut stud) or the extra pipework under the bonnet if i wanted to remove it i guess the pipes coming from the turbo's would just need to be re-connected at the front of the car by the intake pipes? (where the other pipes to the boost solenoid are connected at the moment) the controller has only ever been set to low boost and i haven't had any running issues, am i likely to have any problems if i just remove the controller and pipe the car back to stock?

car pc audio system
up for sale is my zedputer project & amplifier, the car pc is based around a sapphire edge HD3 pc, running windows 10 & centrifuse (i will leave centrifuse on) it's a 1.6ghz processor with 4gb ram, wifi, usb3. also included is a 7" touchscreen built into a radio bezel, could do with a little tidying but it works as it should. there is a intelligent vehicle power supply (turns the pc on with the ignition, then turns it off after ignition is switched off), a usb relay that switches the amp on & off when centrifuse fires up to avoid any bangs through speakers. there is a blue soilel bluetooth adaptor which also works through centrifuse for music streaming and with the addition of a mic could be used for handsfree calling. through apps and a gps module this system could have sat nav added as well. the amp is a mutant MT1204 4 channel amp 60w per channel, i used this bridged for the sub and stereo for front speakers. i have also included the power cable for the amp to run from the battery but you would need to source an earth cable and remote cable for switching. looking at circa £190 for the lot including postage, - - - Updated - - -

bose speaker options
never heard the Bose in the zed, but I believe the drivers are the same as used in Bose 802 speakers, it's worth checking the ohms with a multimeter, everyone says Bose 802 drivers are 1 ohm, because each cab has 8 of them, they are actually 4 ohm, and wired in a series/parallel config. However if the Bose amps are not working, you'll loose the Bose eq curve built into the preamp you could get away by adding separate tweeters though as the Bose eq boosts low & high freqs with the sub you bought of me, you would only need the extra top end up front

What did you do to your zed today?
that's the plan hopefully, i think i may have found material in a similar colour i'm just waiting on samples but thats only a backup plan

What did you do to your zed today?
i'm off to see jimmer in a few weeks for an oil change etc, so i'm going to see if he has a full set of panels in, then i'll prob be after some advice on covering the door cards

What did you do to your zed today?
you are trying to confuse me now lol, the suede was referring to the interior panels lol. i'm going to need to keep an eye out for a spare passenger seat as my drivers seat has the slight wrinkling on the bolster, and there is a definite indentation in the foam, plus i have a couple of black marks on my passenger seat, not cleaned them yet so they may bet a bit after a good clean, i've also discovered whoever fitted the manual rail only bolted it at the front and left the back of the passenger seat floating in mid air

series 2 seat electric gubbins
i've just bought a set of series 2 cloth seats but the passenger seat has had a manual runner put on, and the switches etc removed not in a major rush but would like to get hold of the electric runner, motor and seat switches if there are any about

What did you do to your zed today?
yes it's not to bad it's the drivers seat that was letting the car down, got to be honest i picked up the series 2 cloth seats for a very reasonable price

series 1 leather seats
set of series 1 leather seats, drivers electric, passenger manual. drivers seat worn in the usual place on the bolster and the seat base is cracked/split. passenger seat is fine, back seat is ok the back is still quite supple surprisingly, and the base is ok with no splits. i'm sure these will be of use to someone, looking for £150 for the set, collection from cinderford, gloucestershire these are to big for me to post out. front seats are still in the car but will be removed over the weekend hopefully.

What did you do to your zed today?
been quite productive today, had my centre console out and removed the old jdm cd player harness, should of done it years ago, fitted my aux/usb socket in there for my new head unit. finally finished removing my carputer build and fitted a nice pioneer dab single head unit, and started to swap my seats over bye bye leather hello series 2 cloth. just need to find the right colour suede now to cover my panels or get some panels, i think i have found something that's a close match i'll see what happens when the samples arrive.

alcantera colour
Dave! how you doing, unfortunately they were not small/subtle tweeter holes
-
alcantera colour
i don't fancy the messing about trying to fit series 2 seat belts to be honest, so i'm either in for long search for the rears or need to find the closest colour possible and recover my current rear 1/4's. luckily i'm off to see jimmer in a few weeks for an oil change and a few other small jobs so i can take a look at what panels he has. elly did offer me door cards but someone cut holes in them to fit tweeters so only option there would have been trying to swap the material over, i don't think that would of been very successful if i'm honest
-
alcantera colour
i've not bought it or even seen it yet but handy to know they did both, i thought they only did alcantera

alcantera colour
hi guys can anyone tell me what the original alcantera colour is on a series 2 zed? i want to change my series 1 to alcanterra, and i have found an almost complete set of panels local to me, but the door cards have had holes cut in them for tweeters, and the rear 1/4's obviously no good for a series 1, so i may have to get my original panels recovered to match (or as close as possible)

audio bits
hi guys looking at selling my sub box from the zed, nothing wrong with it, just decided on a change of direction audio wise with the car. plus being over 45 it's the embarrassment of opening the boot and a big sub facing me while people are around. it's got a 10" (i believe, not measured it) jbl sub speaker fitted looking for £70 plus post, which will be around £10. the box itself is made from mdf and carpet covered. also gauging interest, i'm also looking at selling my zedputer project, this has been a few years in the making but again works flawlessly i just want to go back to a single din type unit. the pc itself is based around a sapphire edge hd3 system (fits in the palm of your hand) running windows 10 & cenrafuse (which i will leave on) it also comes with intelligent vehicle power supply (switches the computer on/off with the ignition) a usb relay which is controlled through centrafuse which i use to switch the amp on & off so you don't get any audio thumps when switching the pc on, blue soliel bluetooth adaptor, you can use this to stream music through centrafuse and make hands free calls it just needs a mic to make the handsfree work. and a 7" touchscreen which i have built into a radio surround, this could do with a little tidying up if i'm honest but it's passable as is.

Rust inside the rear arch & brake pipes.
had mine done 2 years ago, all the usual places front floor pan where it meets the sill, same with rear floor pan, and the sills themselves, well worth getting it all done, mine is coated in dinitrol now i used the thin one thats like water first followed by the thicker wax, plus the sills have been coated with waxoyl so hopefully no more probs. but keep at it, tough job but worth doing

possible meet?
hi guys as we haven't really had any meets in the southwest region for ages, i thought perhaps we should try and arrange something. i have a very rare weekend off coming up on the 6th & 7th may (sat & sun) so i'm available either day if anyone is up for it, we can arrange location based on who's interested in attending and pick something central to us all.

targa strap
hi guys in need of a targa strap for the boot, i have the longer strap, so need the shorter one with the clamp on or both if you don't want to split them.
