exhaust advice
to be honest the power flow downpipes that a garage down swindon way made were less than quality, they had all the gear and no idea, cost me £250 for 2 downpipes by the time they has snapped off 2 of the elbow mounting bolts on each side and had to drill them out, they used the flange of the original pipes, and welded it onto the stainless, to say the welding was like pigeon sh*t was an understatement, welded it once, and it was blowing, so then had to weld both another 3 times over the top to get it to seal!, the rear end of the system was on the car when i bought it, the previous owner paid £450 for that, and as it's a single pipe from cat to back box, it was missing most of the hangers, it was only held on by the rear 2.

exhaust advice
hi guys going to be looking at changing my exhaust later this year hopefully, i've currently got a power flow system (which i'm not to pleased with the quality of it) the system i currently have on is 2.5" downpipes to replace the cats, into a 2.5" system which goes straight through to a single back box on each side with no x pipe, i have no idea if they are mufflers or resonators as the invoice just says tail pipes slash cut. anyhow i wanted something a little more subtle at the moment it's loud on idle & lower revs then is a lot quieter when i hit the 60mph range. i was after something quieter on idle with a bit more grunt higher up the rev range. any ideas what i should be looking at?

No dip beam, High beam, High beam telltale light on dash and no horn!!
could be of help but i had an issue on mine with radom things not working, horn was one, other was a dip beam, i believe, in the passenger footwell, towards the outside of the car (to the left of the board covering the ecu) there are some electrical plugs, usually in a white plastic holder, the larger plug suffers from corroded pins, especially if you've had a leak. definitely worth checking, had to bypass some of the wires on mine as pines had corroded and broken off.

tailgate
after having a quick look today i notice i have signs of water running down the back of the lower plastic boot trim, so a good chance it's rear window leaking
-
tailgate
i have a fibreglass spoiler on mine, but the holes from the stock spoiler haven't been filled so a possible leak point
-
tailgate
I've replaced the wiper seal, around 18 months ago and that looks fine, it's draining from both sides so my guess is it's getting in both sides, my only other thoughts are now as you say bottom of rear window, or i have a fibreglass spoiler on the car which hasn't had the holes filled from the stock spoiler so also a possible ingress point. which i must remove it and address that at some point.

tailgate
hi guys been suffering with water ingress in the tailgate, and it seems to hang in there until i open it, then it drains out, are there any drains in the tailgate that maybe blocked that i can check? i can't see anything obvious on there.

Help Identify These Rubber Seals ... Please !!!!
if you look carefully you can see the seal is quite thick, i would say it's come off the old oil filter.

Number plate bracket query
Uk bracket may fit not sure how it mounts however, but you can legally fit a smaller front plate being an import

just a few woes
no there is nothing on the head to insert a screwdriver, the screws are only into plastic so once the heads are off should come out easy.
-
just a few woes
cheers si i've just ordered new screws from czp so should hopefully be here soon, i may need to drill the offending trim screws out but i have a spare seal here should i need it. i'll look into the koyo replacement rad, although it's not high on my priority list at the moment, luckily my cooling system is pretty clean, the antifreeze is still the same colour as it went in a couple of years ago, so that's all good.

door mirrors
definitely the shells for now, paint on them is horrid

just a few woes
hi guys, just a couple of issues today, nothing major but i'm a bit stumped, ok i went to change the targa trims today, to find the screws pretty badly rusted, under the door seal, the drivers side wasn't to bad with only 1 rusted screw, but this has rusted the metal targa panel itself, the passenger side was however worse as both end screws in the seal had rusted and there was nothing to put the screwdriver into so i had to give up. the passenger top also has a rust bubble on the outside. is it worth me trying to drill the screws out/ repair the panels or just try to find suitable replacements. i think if i do rebuild & keep the current ones they will get a coat of dinitrol internally as even the trim retaining screws were severely rusted (i still need to replace them) secondly, i have the aftermarket ali radiator fitted, currently i have a gem radiator shroud, however it's not really designed for the aftermarket rad and moves around a bit, is there a shroud available for the thicker rad?

Miles or Kilometres?
i always thought the uk odometer had a blue cog gear set and it was brown on JDM, as yours is black very difficult to say.

300zx chassis treatment?
i did mine 2 years ago with dinitrol, rubbed down any exseeive rust patches and treated them with rc900, then a coal of ML (3125) which is like water and seaps between any panel joints etc, then 4149 over the top, works really well. i have currently got wax oil in the sill cavities which was put in when i had them welded but i need to reapply the sills with dinitrol next year.

annoying bong
Cheers Jeff, it’s not abnormally loud just a bit annoying, especially in slow moving traffic.

annoying bong
hi guys, trying to get to the cause of this and bypass it, ok my cr is a 1990 JDM import, i used to have a kmh/mph converter on the car and it was fine. however i have now fitted uk clocks and every time i stop the car bongs at me, not sure if JDM cars do this as standard or if this is a fault somewhere. but hopefully looking at a way to stop it. any advice info appreciated.
