In the interests of all i have now demolished this work of art so if anyone wanted this......aherm 'conversion' you're too late, sorry !!! The reflector however has been put back together with hardly a flaw, see below :).

Work Beyond Belief !!
The hot bulb looks to of melted it and in the first place the reflector has been just broken crudely and then put in like....well a jigsaw. I think the white is just from it's time in a damp breaker perhaps.

Work Beyond Belief !!
Shouldn't really mock but some pieces of 'work' just are quite staggering, i've actually had this on the shelf for a while. This i guess is to 'make red fog light' from the stock clear reverse bulb chamber . A lot of effort if i can call it that to go to, when a red bulb can be bought :headvswal.

Track day Sunday...Portimao style
How nice to see an event/venue that doesn't overcharge/take advantage and then to have roads to drive on without blasted 'traffic calming' - nice pics Jeff, thank you . Some of these UK town planners need to have a ride in a car like mine just to see what it's like getting from a to b, oh how i long for just tarmac with one white line down the middle.

NEC 2016 - Bring your Zed
I gave it a lot of thought last year once Mondo bugged out but ultimately my bodywork was not up to it. However in 10 days time i am getting a front area issue that's bugged me re aligned and then it's all systems go for a Spring i think respray, so in theory it's another yes from me ;).

What did you do to your zed today?
I have always know that the two tabs were missing from my ashtray console bit and i have been looking for a while now for a replacement but of course it needed to be very near mint, this one of mine apart from this is in very good condition, even with the tabs missing it fit ok. After ripping out so i can fit my new handbrake with new handbrake handle from Mondo, i spotted a pound coin and i chased it, it fell further inside the carpet, on doing this i found the two tabs.....win win methinks. I have got out some resin and have bonded them back on, will they be strong enough ? not sure but i'm giving it a go - fit tomorrow ;). You may also notice the 'not normal' black silicone, this is to bond the mirror control securely flush - this is all down to lighting it up.

Jae 2016 poll
I have been for the last 6 years, last 4 i have camped, will have to pull you up Si - not once have i seen mud but luckily the weather has been incredibly dry and warm. I enjoy the banter, 75% of lads i know very well. I did feel very let down in 2015, it just felt like the club didn't bother/care about it and it's members, although the food put on was the best in all the years i have been. The price is a damn cheek for 2016 and imo pretentious, don't forget this is probably without the 'booking fee', last year i paid £32.50 all in.........to me this was pushing it but the increase quoted will most probably have me look elsewhere.

Hi all
Well have a look at his feedback, wouldn't trust this seller at all but i guess it's no reflection on what the car might be like. One of those negative feedbacks was from me btw.

What did you do to your zed today?

Lights and bulbs
The 5630 bulb is 80w and is the best, the one on the bottom in the pic. The top right is a red filament 1156, this will also be bright but not for £3.99 as per your link. Top left.....waste of time. Re the fog bulbs, the blue tipped will be best but not at 100w, find some at 55w.

Lights and bulbs
You've got the last bit the wrong way round for the dipped. Colouring a bulb will work but it'll soon burn off, filament bulbs get very hot very very quickly. Why not buy a red 1156 filament bulb though ? These are still in this age quite bright, to get a led bulb of equal brightness you'll have to spend getting near to £10 per bulb. Front fogs are not testable and even though they say 5000k which should be a match for hids, they may still be a touch on the yellow side but you need H3 and perhaps those with the blue tips, pay your money and take a chance you'll like them.

May have found a new workshop for my zed
You sure that'll be big enough .

Rear fog lights
The tester may not of grasped what you were telling him, there are rules about proximity to other lights i believe though but he'd be an incredible ass if he failed our set up. I will pm you, i can supply the 2 x reverse light chambers with the fogs in and all you'll do is remove your 'basic' chambers and screw the new ones on, btw your new fog/reverse light chambers can migrate to any panel.
-
Rear fog lights
Please remember when i do send a fog top reverse light bottom conversion back, both the reverse stock plugs are still used, there is then a trailing wire which you'll need to connect up to the fog live which will come somewhere from your cabin switch. So please keep this in mind before you start a snipping !! And going back to your earlier question, i'ts not just a simple as buying red led's off the shelf and just plonk in there, they need to be as bright as the brake lights for a start, amongst other things that needs doing.
-
Rear fog lights
Just get a red filament 1156 bulb for now and put in the r/h side chamber, you will need to connect the cabin fog switch live wire to it though of course. Oh and EDIT : The reverse lights are not part of a MOT test fyi, but the way above will keep your l/h one.

Richie's "Blue Thunder" Build Thread!!
The camera does not do this justice, to the human eye the spread of light is not like this at all . Although i have bench tested this brake light part for hours, i got chatting to someone and left it on inside a finished panel i have here, so i ended up simulating solid braking for 30 mins, something that will never happen and the panel passed with flying colours.

How to power up my dash clocks??
Struggling to get across on a pic is not the easiest job but a tell tale to me is the amount of crisp illumination on the odometer read, i see many as dull as dish water, not to mention how filthy the numbers can be .

How to power up my dash clocks??
I know on series 4 clocks there are 3 multi plugs, 2 need to be plugged in and the corresponding wires or tails need to be powered up on the bench for all four bulbs to work. Sounds like it's a 50/50 split as well on the earlier clocks but don't understand why probes Graham will not power all the four bulbs when they are touched on ? If you aint got severed spare plugs then it's not gonna be easy, crudely you could trap wire under the bulb holder contact on all four ? If you mean you need to get the led polarity correct then connect your 12v supply direct to the bulb and mark or scratch something and then follow the tracks on the board and plug in accordingly.
