  1. I can see it now, your good lady is trying to cook you a nice roast chicken but it keeps tripping out as you're tucked away and have had your tool in your hand for a good few hours........put it down man she yells !!!
  2. Sounds like you need the 99 spec manual heater control, do away with that digital thing , change out your thermostat would be my first port of call.
  3. Have a good day pal .
  4. Many if not all have scratches on them being 2nd hand, unscratched ones you can expect to pay top dollar the pair. I have some brushed effect ones and am prepared to let go for £33.00 the pair delivered if that's of interest, paypal gift. Normal price would be £66 but i've slashed 50% off as it's Black Friday week, blowing out the water Great Mondos paltry 10% trader offer :p.
  5. The leds will i expect be connected to a pcb, wonder if it might be best and possible to just buy either 12v 5mm amber bulbs with the tails or get some sort of amber light behind....ie just use some smd strips to just shine through the lens ? You'll just need to open it up and assess.
  6. I do have some yes and in fact i was thinking of bumping my ad only recently. They wont be fifty, need to look through my stock but sure i can chip some off that.
  7. Replace.....why ? You not happy with the lens itself or some leds have blown ? All my four down each side were yellow in colour but i am now going for the more traditional amber, just got the rears to change over now. You could keep the lens/cut it internally down perhaps and shine some other lights through it ?
  8. Happy birthday .
  9. I had some pics i forgot about !! Dangling mirror. The front housing just slides through and out. And another pic showing the part the mirror itself engages on.....at the four lugs, just offer onto these and press home, if you didn't know that !!
  10. I had a little job to do in me changing the indicator on my door mirror and I wasn't aware you could remove just the housings without taking the door card off, etc, and then remove the all shebang....but you can. First get some strips of rag and then pull off the mirror, mine is the heated type so hence the two wires in the 2nd pic and just leave this dangling if you don't want to unplug that is. There are now six screws to remove, 3 on the top and 3 on the bottom, you can remove these with the window up with a normal length screwdriver but of course the mirror needs to be in the 'out' position. Please note i have a cut away part to the left on the pic to enable the indicator to fit in. After removal of these six screws the front part will now come off. One more screw now and it's on the end of the screw driver in the pic below, you can remove like i have done with the window down or struggle with a stubby with the window up. The back will now come off with a little jiggle/force or if you like close the mirrors in and the back practically falls off so be careful, use this closing in method when you refit this back part, you'll find it much easier and put that one screw in but you'll need the window down. Fold the mirror back out once this is done, now refit the front part and those 6 screws. Of course now you end up with this, i even left them like this, open to the elements without a problem. Notice the bottom screw bolt is still attached, this does not need removing. I haven't touched anything internally, saved me a lot of time, even though door card removal is not a big issue i was so pleased i could work this way especially dodging the showers like today.
  11. Indeed it does, in fact it looks way better than the photo .
  12. Does it need doing .
  13. Alright.........i see what you've done there :xxx:, the LWB ones i have on the rear are not eating me up, in fact nobody will realize they're the wrong ones so let's keep it quiet from now on please......sssssshhhhhh !!
  14. Anything interesting on that tape Graham from when it was last used :sneaky2:.
  15. ANPR friendly !!! Why would this appeal......................i see many plates with water damage so therefore not ANPR friendly and this appeals much more .
  16. I wouldn't go with black Mogster, grey metallic/shadow chrome/gunmetal whatever, would be better if you were itching for a change .
  17. Although it all worked i had an incredible amount of wiring/soldering/tape in this area as i had switchback lights and an inline module and due to the purchase of some new indicators my train of thought now is to tidy things up.......keeping things simple and below is a picture to prove. One chamber is for the indicator and the other an incredibly bright white smd bulb, the same as what i use for the reverse lights and this will come on (kerb light) when i indicate that corner but i will need to have the dipped light on for it to get it's 'live', this is the stock JDM set up btw.....if you like a kinda 1990's factory switchback .
  18. I'm going for a bit of a tache :cool3:. This is in just primer, the gunmetal is on and all tucked up in the garage for the night.........just need to lacquer tomorrow.
  19. He's been with her a while now Si, so he knows only too well what she's like :nana2:
  20. Just looking and with the discount code on the Saturday it's £18.00 plus £1.50 booking fee. Then i read it's nearly as much again to park at the NEC........£12.00 per car :sweatdrop:. A little research and it looks like you can park here for half that :thumbup1:. Birmingham International Station Long Stay CP Station Link Road West Midlands Solihull B40 1PA EDIT : And then i read this 'There are shuttle buses running from the NEC car parks to the halls'......my guess is 'my' car park may well be less of a walk/transfer !!
  21. Nice one dude, Anastasia as done you proud . EDIT : Hope he's got her looks and not yours !!!
  22. PLEASE SEE POST 11 AND PRICE DROP Selling some of my surplus indicators. First up we have Series 1, these are totally untouched and include the bulb holders and clear bulbs, i will also include 2 more clear bulbs. You can rip out the amber deflector that is inside if you like, you just get some long nose pliers onto it for it then to collapse and come out the bulb hole, of course after you will need an amber bulb instead of the clear. If you want you can use the other 'clear' chamber as a sidelight - I WILL SUPPLY BRAND NEW 2 X 501 BULB HOLDERS with tails - for you to drill out and dremel accordingly. In fabulous condition. £25.00 delivered, paypal gift. Next up we have some crystal ones. No indicator bulb holders supplied with this pair so use your own and you can see the hole is already there for a 501 bulb holder.....WHICH I WILL SUPPLY x 2 with tails but not the bulbs, so again can be used as a sidelight, sitting alongside the indicator chamber which will require an amber bulb. These have no cracks and are in a very good used condition. £20 delivered, again please a paypal gift. Moving on to Lot 3. Again Series 1 like the first ones but these are without bulb holders, i will supply 2 x clear bulbs, keep these as spare, whatever. In excellent first class condition, no cracks, etc. If you wish again you can pull out the orange lens for that clear look and as above these have not been drilled out for the extra bulb holder bit I WILL SUPPLY 2 x 501 bulb holders with tails but not the bulbs for that 'clear' chamber. £22.50 delivered paypal gift again.
  23. Got these today, you can have fitment issues if you've got larger intercoolers but not me as they fit a treat and i have pace smic's. Just a trial fit for now but i think it'll be just indicator in one chamber and the other i'll put in a bright white kerb light, that will come on when i signal that corner.
