Illuminated and White 300ZX Reverse Panel
Not really aftermarket but an optional extra, along with the kick plates and the 1/4 window lights, all were green, the reverse light panel was the most common of the 3. It should be obvious Tom on the tail light little harnesses to see where a wire as been severed/took off, not a winter job..................a 5 minute job !!

Illuminated and White 300ZX Reverse Panel
Don't have four fogs Tom, they're a different brightness for a start, convert the tail lights back to stop tails. Looking good imo, it's showing the fogs are plenty bright enough . The 99 spec reverse light panel does not light up, i can however make it do so without changing the outward appearance. You are lucky if you have a working green altia after all these years but again imo they look dated although the purist may still like them.

Low Fuel Light that Flashes and is Multi Coloured !!
I have not had a working low gas light for many years, i thought buying some unmolested clocks would sort this issue but sadly not. I even took the fuel pump out yesterday but all looked in as new condition, so for some reason the light would not come on and yes i checked the bulb many times !! So i thought the only thing to do is stick a bulb in the hole behind and make it independent from the clocks. On looking for a bulb with tails i thought why not have it flashing, etc. It's grounded and the other wire from the bulb is connected to the low fuel sender wire, hoping tomorrow it'll go out when i put some in. Not that it'll be on long if at all and i'm not going to be able to stand it !!

Illuminated and White 300ZX Reverse Panel
Here we are all finished, sure when this is fitted we'll get day and night pics, looking forward to it . Insides of the 300ZX we have the subtle red illumination but the fogs are bright :).

headlights and Mot failure.......
It doesn't have to be new headlights, slap bang in the middle of the pic below there is deflector or shield, this is all you need to make yours RHD. I can send you a pair and they just screw bolt in, you will need to pull the projector out but this is done with the adjusters until they just drop off the thread, so you'd replace after you've removed the glass and strip them down to clean, etc, anyway. I can also send you the 8 x Tamiya metal cogs needed for the adjusters. Let me know if you're interested in this option, delivered i would want £35.00.

Illuminated and White 300ZX Reverse Panel
I was asked 'Andy can you illuminate in white the reverse light panel', i replied yes but you're likely to of spent money and are constantly getting your collar felt. I suggested what i have executed here. The 300ZX is painted in white, just like the 99 spec one which is red, you can see it below against a 89 panel, it's actually an Altia one but does for an example. I am not really going to divulge what magic is actually done but just the insides light up with the EL sheet and the white is not affected. Customer wants lines to match the tail lights, so these are added at this stage .

FAO Phutumsch
Thank you, As you say they are tied up and am not sure what you're showing me but i've had another look at mine, the slip ring as a ribbon for the horn and one for the airbag, there are then four wires that dangle from the bottom when fit, we have brown, yellow, white and blue Lee, expect yours are connected all neatly to the female plug, hoping you have the same shape plug as i've seen different ones but i wonder if this matters as on both colours go to the same. They connect to this male plug, i need to know/clarify please which wire goes where ? For some reason i have this, the colours do match up apart from i have the blue going into a grey wire then into the female plug.

It's not set in stone Graham, part of the fun is a convoy, methinks if she chips a bit off her finishing time and Mrs Gray certainly doesn't need any making up, so sure you'll be away quick, beats travelling down all alone......there's no fun in that !!

Just so as you know, we all usually bug out earlier than that on the Sunday Simon. I thought a good meeting point Ian would be Hartshead Moor services at say 1pm - 1.30pm.

Vent screw koyo rad
A further update here, before i found my original one in the post above, i already had ordered a plug bolt and just to confirm again for my rad it was M12 with 1.25 pitch thread, this said bolt arrived today. Cannot see a reason why it cannot be magnetic . This is the one i am going to use, just for the simple reason it's new and the original one was showing it's age with burred edges .

headlights and Mot failure.......
It is very rare for headlights of the age they are to have working adjusters, i take it the long metal adjuster works the dipped as it should, from memory i think this moves it up and down ? The problem could well be the other plastic ones that adjust side to side, i wouldn't be at all surprised if these were broke on both headlights. To clarify further there is a main beam adjuster in the corner, these do not break and it's the one with the larger socket head than the others, the other for the main beam does break however and is the same one that breaks as is on the dipped beam. Jimmer is correct, bulb fitment is done blind so they may need re seating correctly. I'd personally knuckle down and take the headlights out and check the cogs, it does sound like they do need to come out anyway at some point. Once removed if you take off all the rubber bungs and see from the rear if the bulb openings are in the middle of their respective opening/travel, this will as a rule satisfy a tester, you may blatantly see one or both way out to the left or right, etc. If you bought more headlights, in every likelihood the cogs will be broke, mend your own.

Fog lights on same switch?
And the fog symbol is facing the other way.

Fog lights on same switch?
I have a 5000k hid headlight kit fitted and yes my dipped is superb, could easily get by with nothing else but i also have the same kit in my front fogs and boy these make a difference when i flick the switch, projecting light more at the sides and nothing to do with it being foggy .
-
Fog lights on same switch?
You are on a country road and it's 11pm, there is a least one car behind you travelling at the same speed as you and it's not foggy, you cannot therefore have your rear fog light on but you want the front fogs on for extra visibility .

silicon hoses
I bought a few months ago their 2 hose in red radiator pipes for £26 delivered, absolutely nothing wrong with them :cool3:.

What did you do to your zed today?
When i purchased my car EL faces were fit on the clocks and there was an aftermarket steering wheel fitted so my OEM airbag was lost, as it's a turbo and a 1994 there was no boost gauge but i acquired one in another set of clocks and consequently got some bespoke MOMAN faces made up for the now 6 faces. I replaced the steering wheel with one correct for the car many years ago and of course the airbag was back but not as yet plugged in, recently i fit the correct squib that would of been fit from new. Brings me up to today where i finally fit the 'spare' clocks i had purchased about 4 months ago, plugged in the airbag and the horn. So gone are my EL dials and all the fiddling that went with them and another return to a factory item, fitted with crisp white smd bulbs plus others that i spent a while on getting the best even colour and needle illumination - i love them.
