JaiKai - Full rebuild & Respray
I wouldn't worry about the slightly curved main beam part and nor would i bother about the gap at the top either Lee, as I think mine are like that. When it squeezes down fully it all will be improved but you must get that front edge right, meaning get it as far back as you dare without gunk showing and the rest will take care of itself. The silicone I used was Heat Mate, I like it.

JaiKai - Full rebuild & Respray
If you'd of sent them to me you wouldn't of had any bother, like Tom says !! Whatever colour you do the inserts you need to spray the carcass edges the same as this then is more forgiving. You then need to find the happy medium but get the front edge correct, the glass will go on and then as it squashes down goes back, then secure with some flexible silicone and clamp overnight,

"You picked a fine time to leave me, Loose Wheel!" - Mondo's new Zed.
Mmmm that tash, it's very black and very glossy, not sure Si and it makes it appear wider as well, the headlight inserts are grey, perhaps you could look at that colour and you could still clear coat it. I had clear rear markers when I got mine, just didn't think they lit up as well with a red bulb but swapped them out for the red. I like the front lip, not spotted that before, if I got one of those I'd be about 2 inch off the floor !! And yes lose the amber cup in those indicators. Finally, haha.....the number plate needs straightening and a white cap in the 9, unless it's a speed camera dodge .

99specs on ebay
It's this that concerns me in the ebay Global program t and c's, '''Exclusions. You alone are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, surcharges, fines, penalties, or other charges which may be imposed on you by customs or tax officials after a GSP Item has successfully cleared customs and been delivered to (or made available for pickup at) the delivery address specified by you or the collection center near you that is designated by Pitney Bowes.'''' If anyone as got experience and paid the charges and therefore got the USA item through with no extra fees then fair enough but i'm just not prepared to risk it, once bought the UK customs have got you by the goolies holding your item until you've paid what can be another 20 or 25%.

99specs on ebay
Cheaper than £450 that's for sure but these look to be around £300.00 at your door if you're lucky. I don't trust the ebay upfront import charges, think they could still be liable for UK customs VAT, pays your money and you take your chance.

Make my zed look better
Surprised no one as covered this Birdy.......get some white 8mm line tape for your swage line all around, methinks this'll compliment the tyre lettering so so well . Then get one of those sun strips for the windscreen, I'd get your names put on it, think that'll look swell bud :thumbup1:.

What did you do to your zed today?
It certainly a good idea, I've used neoprene before and it's incredibly easy to work with. It'll compress nicely, the adhesive is an extra bonus and am sure Russ you've got the thickness spot on for a flush finish, top work .
