We sometimes put some grease in hole with engine near tdc,
Clean thread with a tap adapt it to reach careful of piston, then we normally spin engine over with no plug to blow anything out of cylinder...
We have an engineer company come in if they need heli coil etc...
But if its 1st few threads and clean them with the right tap should be fine...allways work for us...
Had lexus is200 at work that threads came out with plugs, was heli coil and worked fine...
Hope u sort it...
It's an old pic not been on road now for about 3 years I think...
Still clean and works OK but sold front bumper and need to buy another.
Maybe 1 day...but why it's in garage it's safe and not rusting...
They have panel clips along the top
I don't have pics underneath at moment but in a few places have plastic bars going across with panel clips.
But most of bottom is open so can see original sills...
I have version r 99 spec skirts, and they have no bottom to them.
So can't catch anything...
I think they go well with 99spec front bumper they bring it all to the same height.
Otherwise 99spec front bumper looks lower then rest of car...
I've done it's not easy I work on cars every day...
My house looked like this lol...
But my neighbours are miserable old gits who torment me so sometimes I like tormenting back...
Has to be tested non cat test...should pass it easy...go back ask if tested non cat test and ask for print out...
Ask them to test it again post results up...
Should get emissions print out.
Probably tested wrong and he should do it non cat test and then pass car.
I'm an mot tester and other tester at work failed a car few weeks back it was not on system tested it with a cat...
I thought it might be vibration in panels lots of cars have blocks like that underneath.
A bit of it was rubber and could move, if it was just for weight would they have not just used solid metal...
Sounds good I keep an eye on thread, I've been on a few motor cross bikes and had a quick go on r1 which my uncle owned,
But never been crazy about riding them I'd love one for my garage to look at, there lovely looking machines and sound awesome,
