Anyone recommend a cheap courier for a large box
It seems I was.......I sent 3 x cardboard tubes and strapped them all together, so it was toblerone like, on reflection it was probably 30cm x 30cm but the length was definitely 180cm, weight was something like 14kgs. I do try to be honest/not too naughty with the weights, sizes, etc, for instance today I will book 1 x 10kgs package and it'll weigh something like 11.2kgs, always go through ok but the 180cm was risky but it paid off.

Got them on ebay, I had to buy 5 of this size, 10 of that, etc, to make up the full compliment, cost me around £13.00 for all of them, I do have a few spares as a consequence. I am trying to get the seller to make up a specific kit for our cars, whether he does or not is another matter, I have sent him the same pics today as I post here, so he can use in an ebay listing. EDIT: http://woodypeck.com/?product=nissan-300zx-replacement-set-of-blade-fuses-smart-led-lights-up-when-it-blows

Appreciate your honesty but be a little more economical with the truth !! They probably wont bat an eyelid at it, I recently sent some tubes and they were approx 180cm x 40cm x 40cm and they went through no bother.

And if you are a new customer which you would be as you'd register, me or Baz can give you a use once discount code that knocks off a further 10% :cool3:. I have just put something in my ipostparcel basket and got a further 5% knocked off with a another discount code.

Every time I see your car Si at an event, that blooming Kevin Pietersen is there getting in on the act and always manages to get his picture taken. It's always standing by your car and never besides anyone elses :detective:. Surprised nobody else as noticed this but me .

Just reinsured for the year.....What a varied bunch of quotes!
Initially when I got my Z 6 years ago I went with PerformanceDirect down in Romford but last year for a reason I have forgot (probably price) I left them and went with FluxDirect. Got my FluxDirect renewal and it was £370, mods declared, etc, but I had PerformanceDirect ring me and he quoted £290.00, this included legal, etc, so this was favourite for a while. Until last night when I went on the PerformanceDirect website to generate a quote, I tweaked this and that, mods, excess, etc and got a price of £203.00. So this morning I spoke to them and yes got the price of £203.00 through classic/cherished chaucer . Zero voluntary, compulsory excess is £250.00. No ncd required on a classic policy. No legal, breakdown or any other add ons, cannot drive other cars but I've got other car policies for that. 1500 miles, this is 500 more than I have averaged in the last 4 years, so more than enough !! All these mods declared, some you may think petty but it made no difference on the price. Tracker/Alarms/Immobilisers Stereo - Uprated Brakes - Uprated Braided Brake Hoses Suspension - Lowered or Uprated Exhaust/Cosmetic Air Filter Strut Brace Intercooler - Uprated Turbo Boost Controller Chromed Engine Clutch - Uprated Dump Valve Upholstery Changes Headlight Bulbs - Uprated Alloy Wheels - Non Standard Wheel Spacers Locking Wheel Nuts Very happy with that and recommended, going to fill out the agreed valuation form for £10,000, cost for this is £15.00. EDIT: Forgot to mention I have a SP50 endorsement, Oct 2011, don't think they bat an eyelid at this though.

A Cautionary Tale....
I must admit I use and like those knotted wire wheels fitted to the grinder, I use to strip off already flaking paint off metal and they do a damn good job with no messing but you do have to be careful, they're lethal. Yours could of been much worse, get the germolene out .

When I first got my car the adjusters for the coilovers were completey hidden apart from a hole on one side that wasn't even in line with it !! Anyhow I bought Andy Isherwood's rear strut brace and many years ago crudely I cut out and fit, I could just get to the adjuster, see below . Having seen Jaikai do something with his, this planted a seed so today I spent a bit of time putting things right. I opened up what was there into a rectangle with forgiving corners. Then sliced some gunmetal hose and hot glued all around on the underside, this is why I had the forgiving corners :thumbup1:. 100 times better, I know it needs a vac !! You could say it looks factory !!

JaiKai - Full rebuild & Respray
This is mine Lee, just fit this today as it was my spare but my one I had on the horn contacts had given up the ghost, looks like this is the exact one for the SRS S4 steering wheel.

HIDs - the downside!
That's easy with a pic, H3c on the left, H3 on the right, so it's all how it sits in it's housing, the arc of the bulbs distance away from the shield, lens, etc.

HIDs - the downside!
NO !!! Strictly speaking and so you know and then you cannot say phutumsch never said, you can buy H3c HID light bulbs, they are more money and not sold by everybody, these are same size as the stock H3c filament bulbs, hence obviously why they are both called H3c. I have H3c bulb HID's in mine and 5000k, they are very good. Previously I had 6000k and H3's, not as good as I have now but still good nonetheless, perhaps the difference/improvement I noticed was more to do with my change in colour from the 6000k to the 5000k and not really the change from H3 to H3c. But H3c's HID bulbs cannot possibly be worse than the H3 HID bulbs, more than likely marginally/not noticeably better with the human eye, it could well be they are in fact the same but the shield inside and all the gubbins Nissan developed it for a reason and used the H3c bulbs - hope you follow !!
