  1. I know you can get red stop/tails but normal brake light bulbs are clear ? Just get a red filament bulb, they are as bright as owt out there.
  2. And as if by magic - looks complete with convertor and the underneath lights . http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322111627331?euid=8467a38462f34b0ea30a4cbae05c93e6&cp=1
  3. He certainly has a teeny weeny one. When i darken up Toms fog lights they'll blend in much better also :cool3:.
  4. Agreed, although my wife calls it a girl flick, i saw it at the cinema and it's one of my favs......brings back great memories for me :cool3:.
  5. You don't like it methinks because it only as one nostril so the balance is lost, two would of worked better and goes pretty much without saying .
  6. I fail to see your problem, just don't plug in the airbag connector, just the horn one ? If your tester picks up on it which i doubt the airbag cluster light should come on briefly at start up, obviously yours will not.
  7. I have had this intermittent fault for a few months now, no front wipers, no blower, no clock, no mirror control and i researched and this thread came up. It failed completely and so yesterday i took out my drivers seat and took the steering wheel off, bit extreme but it's not a pleasant job. Information in this thread is of course correct, torch is essential, remove the acc pedal and remove the bonnet release, pull all the multi plugs from the fuse box area and tilt the box and you'll see 2 x blue identical relays, remove both. Go to the main fuse box in the engine bay and remove both blue headlight relays, right and left. Stick the earlier 2 x footwell relays in these positions and turn on your dipped beam, one i expect will not work, find which side and throw that relay as far as you can into a field, swap out probably for the time being the a/c relay, test and put the 2 known working ones back in the footwell. Don't worry about all the plugs they tend to let you know where they go as they bend accordingly. Before all trim is replaced, test and you'll probably find that wipers, etc, are all good again. Replace the 'borrowed' a/c relay in engine fuse box at your leisure.

It's all well and good you doing this Paul and i applaud you but it does not disguise the fact it's still exactly the same expensive price to get in as it was when we decided to knock it on the head some months ago .
  9. Whats that big girls blouse doing there :detective:.
  10. I've offered these in my swb and they're quite large so i conclude these are for the 'other' version for sure !! I guess though they'd be nothing to stop you dremel cutting the plastic down in an equal fashion :scared: and then just scissor trim the black mesh tint that's on them. Some final pics before i packed, as mentioned before green also when off, this matches what was done on the op's rear garnish panel. Simulating night time I cannot get the true colour to show on a pic but i assure you these are traffic light green - nice things and i must admit a tad jealous :thumbup1:.
  11. For the time being these are lightly clamped but you get a glimpse of what they're like When not plugged in these are green .
  12. Some more work done on these today :thumbup1:. After attaching securely the new el sheets i then had to make sure and colour label and pre test that i'd got all the polarity's correct which i did at the first attempt. I then got soldering and my aim was to make these as factory as possible, here are the altia shade ends And the invertor end, one invertor powers both as per factory fit, hence the long loom. Just connects where you see the clips to sidelight circuit. I then stuck them back on the shades, double sided sticky was used initially all those years ago, i left this in place and just applied a tiny careful amount of black silicone to help further secure, all incredibly tidy as you can see below.
  13. There is a bit of trial and erroring with regard to re fitting the needles to get them just so but nothing that cannot be sorted with further help/advice. EDIT: Here's a thread i did not so long ago - plenty of fiddling i will warn you !!!!!!!!! http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?184096-Finally-Happy-with-my-Instrument-Cluster&highlight=moman
  14. As per some others threads stated these got sent to me and i soon concluded that the invertor was useless and so were the original 20+ year old green sheets, they'd flicker at best. I do want to use all the original plugs and wiring so i will have to solder in new sheets and a new invertor, make everything real tidy and as oem as possible. Made a start which was mainly planning/thinking and thought i'd better take and upload up a pic and here it is, things going well and these will turn out very well . These look really crisp and a strong green colour in real life which i'll try and show on further pics.
  15. I'd avoid superglue because it's instant and be inclined to use something that cures not as fast, clear silicone, bostik or evostik, at least then you can wiggle about for a while afterwards until you're 100% happy. And as Graham said, use sparingly, evenly and avoid great big blobs. Needles have a bit of tolerance when going back on their spindles, just don't push them all the way down, not to where they were perhaps before and use a basic thin fork to lever them off would be the best advice i could give.
  16. What a memory you have sir :thumbup1:. I don't have them fitted anymore....i went back to stock but my all experience was good, i will say further they were more familiar with the series 1 type clocks than my later ones. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?167737-VFM-Ebay-Indiglo-Dial-Faces
  17. I have had contact from the ebay seller, he tells me to bid and then pick out what i need/want but if i'm bidding and winning i'm pretty much gonna get my kind 'collector' to get the lot but we'll see.
  18. There's nothing wrong with it, personally i think it's pricey and have told Paul so many times but he wont budge !!
  19. Honestly Si, it's crystal clear.................he's going for a brushed look and the sandstorm thingy is for blowing the dust away......you know nowt, doh !!
  20. Like you say whatever works, you never know, etc, but the more options i have the better..................really appreciate these kind offers of help :cool3:.
  21. Of course it helps thank you, knowing that someone can pop round is great news. I would send him a message asking him if collection can be in a couple of weeks time (doesn't end till the 24th) but i've had two already without reply :mad2:. I'll have a bid if it doesn't get too much then, sort all things after that......there are a few items of value that some others could purchase i guess for me to claw back a bit of coin if i pay what i think is too much.
  22. That's just the problem with 'lots' like this, people all want different bits and therefore can only pay on what that particular item is worth to them at the time, this is why i cannot understand why he doesn't get back to me when you he has a guaranteed £30 for that one item for instance. Yes i did see it before iirc but just thought he never sold, which it didn't !! He did leave positive feedback i notice for the 'buyer' !!
  23. I am sure i have dealt with this ebay seller before but i'm having no luck with him, i have messaged him twice without response and i really want the spare wheel or space saver that's in the middle of the picture, i don't care for, nor can i make use of anything else apart from perhaps the air bag but i need the spare in my life...................or boot !! I need therefore to win the auction within my budget, i then require someone who lives in or near Worcester whom i shall pay plus some extra for their trouble with paypal gift and to collect 'the lot' for me. I would then pay all courier costs to get the spare to me, the 'collector' can then do whatever they like with the rest of the gear. Appreciate greatly someone helping me out here . An alternative would be if a member on here wins the auction so sees more value in it than myself and they could then sell me the wheel ? Yours hopefully, here's the ebay link :cool3:. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252358726653?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
