  1. This as struck a cord, sometimes many years ago i'd sit there with the key turned for a lot longer than momentary and then it'd just crank. It wasn't the relay, it was a poor connection at the starter motor .
  2. Many thanks Richie for adding my winfactory struts to your order and dealing with it - i am very grateful. Seeing your 'issues' fitting them i thought i'd post my pics here. They could stamp them up R and L i agree but i found a 'poor' video of theirs but i got what i needed from it so i fit first time of asking.
  3. Just temp in the cabin, notice the short black 'probe' - it was parked in direct sunlight today hence the high reading.
  4. These aren't a bad little thing i bought for just a few pounds, tells me the battery voltage in real time and a temp gauge also. Illuminates to match my interior and don't forget, the 5v usb charger .
  5. Yeah spose, at this rate i won't even need to go to bed Saturday night .
  6. To raise funds why not do a sponsored 'streak' on the Sunday, i'll put up £20.00, as long as it's not a cold day you should be ok .
  7. No hard hats ? What about some paddles ? Point 6 in post 130 - i'm ok here because my engine increases in speed, my exhaust does not !!
  8. It does still shout acc relay. Check out post 19 here of when mine was playing up - perfect ever since btw. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?162672-Electrical-issue&p=1915538&highlight=acc+relay#post1915538
  9. A couple of months ago i had the same problem on my merc and no matter how tight i gripped the stem the metal cap would not shift and the last thing you want to do is overly force. I ended up grinding the cheap cap off carefully with my dremel, although i did 'catch' the stem thread it did not damage it nowhere near enough for a PLASTIC cap to finger tight on !!
  10. Thanks for getting back to me Dave :tongue_smilie:. Just meet me at Charnock Richard, for us to leave here at 7am, then it's 55 mins to meet up with the Mogster .
  11. That's good news on the pass, i just tell them it's not on the database and have never had a problem. I do keep my hid dips on all the way to the station and again when i drive it in and leave them on when it's running, never had a problem with them either.
  12. You've swapped out the relay that's a pig to get to, behind the footwell fuse box ? And what doesn't work, wipers as you say but the left heater pod, mirrors, cig lighter, etc, ? Welcome to the forum btw :thumbup1:.
  13. I got one of these today.................pay particular attention to the empty advisory section  Why they have such large areas is beyond me .
  14. The picture is of a later year car, the plenum is a later series therefore showing electronic hicas.
  15. Currently advertised, had a recent service and a showroom valet..........it's looking mighty fine - been and still is a nice car but a saloon is not what we need atm.
  16. This is mine, needed something where the dog could get in and out easy and also i could take the German Shepherd out in it also.
  17. Goodness, see the thread link - it's the very first post !!

  20. Good to know the wife behaved admirably and btw those rear lights look well..............are they all genuine 99 pieces :tongue_smilie:.
  21. See the link i have put in post 2, the battery i use is 175mm in height .
  22. Well i like my Varta, see the last post. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?177259-Larger-battery-fitting-type-sizes-power-etc I leave it a good two weeks sometimes and although i cannot vouch for it's longevity yet, it always cranks lively enough.
  23. I'm going to have to set off at 6am and get to yours Dave at roughly 6.30, rather than have my rumbly VG on your close at that silly o'clock - tell me somewhere on route not just as built up and we can meet and swiftly get away ?
  24. Z1 sell some very strong gas struts, i just pull the lever and up it pops and i still have the weight :smartass:.
