  1. I'm running the Nitron setup with 8kg front, 6Kg rear. I think Tein flex have a similar spring rate. IMHO you don't want to go any harder if the car will be used on the road
  2. If setup correctly the afc will not make any difference. Who set it up for you?
  3. I have the GT28RS (same as JWT 700BB), still not up and running yet though :( Also have Greg Dupree's new 3" downpipes to go with them
  4. search for ksport, i have them and posted about them somewhere.
  5. detonation, hopefully you haven't caused any damage if you let off as soon as you heard it. Genreally 14/15psi is th limit unless you have bigger injectors PS for anyone else reading this, you should do it the other way, up the boost slowly. if you hear det, back off and turn the boost down.
  6. agree with AndyP, you're detting and going back to safety mode.
  7. it's not on the site, you need to talk to them. They also need a core but I luckily spotted someone selling a TT pan state side :) Will post pics and details once it's here
  8. SpecialtyZ do a larger sump with baffles and trap doors. Mine should be here this week so I'll take some pictures. From what I understand it's no deeper so doesn't affect ground clearance. John, Another thing they mentioned is speeding up the oil return from the heads back to the pan by adding some new lines. What do you think of this?
  9. can the supercharger be clocked like a turbo? then you get it point upwards and use 2 90 degree bends to sort it
  10. how are you tuning it afterwards? with the AFC? If so, just stick a dual pop program in and you should be fine, or buy the SAFC II :)
  11. he needs it to get any more power than he currently has, it's probably the bottle neck in the system. Import-ance, read your last thread about this, obviously you still don't quite understand how all this works! Andyduff is right in that you need to just double the k value using the AFC.

  13. lol, ok mate, I think I see where you're coming from and agree that Doolz is no better than the JWT setup. :D
  14. Smithy, I'm going to make a point here because there's too much crap on the forum when it comes to this. Not a personal dig but lots of people get confused on the subject :( The Doolz / JWT Twin pop with 1 MAF and one dummy unit effectively double the amount of air you can read (You also need a dual pop ecu or S-AFC to then double the amount of fuel. This is to compensate for only reading 50% of the air) Both have pros and cons: DOOLZ Pros Balances air before splitting, guaranteeing the 1 maf unit is reading exactly 50% of the airflow. Smoother bends in the pipework Cons Places the air filters low down into the mouth of the bumper, exposing it to turbulent air and water JWT Twin Pop Pros Keeps the filters under the nose panel With a SAFC you can use two MAF's and set it to add the signals together so you can keep the single POP program and eliminate the need for the idle hose Cons 90+degree bends in pipework When only using 1 MAF, at idle it will not be reading 50% of air due to the IACV drawing in more air on one bank. This will result in an uneven idle. Under load this is not an issue as both banks will drwa approx the same amount of air. HOWEVER, the idle air hose fix is a work around to correct the idle by plumbing the opposing banks together and making the IACV draw air from both sides at idle, resulting in the single MAF reading 50% again Onto the pictures :) Single Pop JWT Dual pop pipework with dummy MAF JWT Dual pop with twin MAFs Wiring diagram for 2 MAFs ;) Doolz (note air is balanced before hitting MAF) NOTE: for doolz users there are also extension pipes available to push the air intake under the lights, ideal for use with a FMIC For the more serious, the v2 doolz allows you to make the balance uneven between the MAF and the dummy side. This effectively allows you to change your AFR! (eg for race gas)
  15. they are an upgrade, and a viable alternative to the JWT twin pop setup. Just correcting in case anyone else is reading this later on.
  16. did you hit them when you had your little accident a while ago? probably fatigued them then and just normal driving has finished them off
  17. in which case you'll need a second AFM or the idle hose fix
  18. no, would defeat the object of it they did!
  19. if you have the JWT twin pipes you'll need a idle stabalisation pipe or twin MAF's as one side will reade more than the other at idle (due to the IACV). With the doolz, the MAF is after the air is balanced from the engine side, so will near as dammit be reading 50% of the all the time ie no need for the extra idle pipe. Personally, I have used the JWT with twin AFM's and it works a treat.
  20. no, the super-afc can compensate for you, it gives you the option to double the afm amount.
