  1. tension rod bushes are probably knackered, and you should really have adjustable rose jointed ones if you have adjustabel upper arms. Is the lack of braking force a result of you easing off the pedal to limit the vibrations? warped discs can be checked by a garage by measuring the runout, should cost around £20
  2. vacumm leak, check your intercooler piping etc
  3. ok, put me down for a single exit :D
  4. yes, I would like to see a rear facing shot
  5. any chance of a pic from the rear of th single? so close to saying yes to the single but torn against the B&B system
  6. very nice, everything works well together. Are they the standard strosek copy arches, don't seem as wide as usual (but looks better for it)
  7. i completely agree, but not everyone shares the same opinion
  8. can you let me know about this, makes a big difference to the price i think the lack of enthusiasm is down to the price, even though the group buy price is cheaper, it's still a lot of money for an exhaust compared to other sources. I'm sure the quality is worth it, but not many will be willing to spend that much.
  9. lol, there is that! also need an idea of how loud it is, no point being too loud or i'll get black flagged at trackdays :nono:
  10. is the single exit from the catback or from the centre section back? plus I'd want 4.5" if I was to go single... still torn between 4.5" single or 3" B&B with 4.5" twin oval tips
  11. would be interested if it's a wet track to minimise tire wear
  12. ohh, get you :) unfortunately mine isn't ready yet
  13. sounds good mate, keep up the good work :D
  14. and traction control only helps when applying power, if it just steps out in the wet without assistance from the loud pedal then you definately need better tyres
  15. as I was about to change exhaust so would have been a waste of money still considering getting it done though, just that it isn't cheap. Manifolds and turbo housings cost around £500, majority of that was the turbo housings
  16. i've had my manifolds & turbo housing ceramic coated.. can't tell you any results yet though
  17. they will, need a 10" rim as Vijay says, +40 offset or more, and if it's lowered it will still catch as the profile should be 30 not 35
  18. if you want stock feel you'll need much softer springs, they're all good, just find a brand that will give you custom spring rates
  19. all depends on the spring rate, if you spec lower weight springs with the dampers revalved to suit the ride will be smoother. Most coilovers have much harder springs, though I'm very impressed with my Nitron setup (better then than kyb combo) in terms of harshness and body control. To keep things smooth you'll also want to keep as many OEM rubber bushes as possible
  20. thanks guys. It's a 98 S,140k on the clock, Full bmw service history, new auto box last year, leather, dvd based sat nav from a x5 and all the other toys. Very nice to drive, impressed with the autobox but had to replace the battery today as it wasn't keeping the charge so that makes it £3800 with the cost of the new battery :)
  21. same turbos as my build so easily capable of the power with the right supporting mods.
  22. started looking around and ended up with the 535i, couldn't help it, it has a nice v8 :)
  23. but that's the point of having 2 AFM's, doubling the amount of air you can read :headvswal
