  1. I would suspect either a dodgy temp sensor or the air filter/maf got wet
  2. I've converted the uk blanks to be functional and it seems ok
  3. that'll be topless :)
  4. the profile is % of the width, so the wider you go, the lower the profile number to maintain the same rolling radius, also the same width tire on a 18" should be a lower profile than a 17" to make up for the alloy being larger. So with 17", 235/45 and 275/40 sounds about right. Did you check your offset for the rears to make sure 275 will fit without rubbing?
  5. Would you only be doing standard seats, or would you cater for non standard setups, and are you only offering leather or would you consider alcantara too?
  6. do a quick search, there's a translation somewhere
  7. See the bottom of this thread for a dry sump system, installed on Zed http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=2116231 The Specialy-Z oil pan has arrived too ;)
  8. Mark, Have you dyno'd your setup at all? pre or post the MS mani's, would be good to see the power curve.
  9. Thanks, I always thought they were about the same
  10. they are pretty much the same turbo, difference in lag betweem the 2 would be negligable
  11. what offset are the rears, that will dictate how wide a tire you can use without rubbing. Also the profile should be in relation to the width to keep the same overall height.
  12. new owner is sourcing a replacement turbo, sure he'll pipe up when he's ready;)
  13. replace it with a mid level spoiler ;)
  14. the brakes on my old 2+2 were pretty good. Key things you need: Decent pads! I had Axis metal matrix pads non glazed/warped discs braided brake hoses fresh fluid reseal the calipers if they are worn
  15. MS manifolds weren't available 3 years ago
  16. why bother, just another v6, VG30DETT is stronger and more tuneable other than going for a revvy v8 i don't see the point of a conversion.
  17. agreed, kyle at IPP will look after you, and in your position it would be much easier to to buy the whole package
  18. doubt it, I think only you and I have the GD mani's on here. He should have know about the bolt issue from fitting mine, but my tubs are a bigger and needed the mounts and inner wing modified
  19. + how old are the tyres?
  20. as above, need tyre size and make bear in mind even sticky tires will not perform well in the cold weather spoiler will only help at much higher speeds what diff do you have?
  21. if you're talking about Boomin33's car you should speak to the 2 companies mentioned in his post, they should give you a good idea. As for engine work in general, you want to see a dyno showing a healthy AFR (approx 11:1 as soon as the turbos kick in and staying there until red line) and to prove the quoted figures.
  22. have you mapped it now? How much boost are you running and was it dyno'd? well done anyway :D been a long time coming
