  1. you can get similar universal backboxes then get an exhaust place to attach them
  2. you can add a spacer to increease the offset ie head towards 0, just can't go the other way. eg +32 offset and a 10mm spacer = +22
  3. based on having run 18x9 on the front with +33 and currently +20 offset, I've used an offset calculator to work out you'd need +25 to fit them and roll your front arches ;)
  4. Cheers Andy, I'll look up the spec to make sure it matches
  5. the suppliers of my new turbos are going to tap&drill the housing for my egt sensor, but they need to know the size! Is there a way of measuring bolt/thread sizes, I'm vaguely aware of different standards too? I've looked at a couple of places online and have measured the tpi (18) and that it's 1/2" in diameter (thread tip to thread tip). What else do I need?
  6. I'm running 265/35 up front, 18x9. had +30 offset to clear R34 breaks, now running +20 to clear the ksports but needed the arches rolled Running 285/30 rear on 18x10, had the arches rolled already but need to get some spacers to get the put the offset around +30.
  7. why do you want the cam gears? you'll loose VTC
  8. the official one will be 55k-60k not sure what the grey import cost would be, 40-50k i would have thought
  9. yes, just looked at the link and you're quite right
  10. 14psi on those bigger turbo's will flow more air than 14psi on stockers therefore you will run out of fuelling. You can probably run the turbo's at a lower boost level with stock injectors until you upgrade them. The turbo's you're looking at are 5 bolt, so you won't be able to reuse you're current downpipes
  11. i think it's the fuel controller
  12. also a good exhaust will reduce back pressure so it'll boost to 10psi :)
  13. what happens if you reconnect the normal boost solonoids, get you back to 9psi
  14. this one http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi here's the page http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=br&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=4&design=default&total=56
  15. it's in the online manual :)
  16. nope that's mph :) just a very quick car
  17. ported stock will give some benefit, but nowhere near as much as the MS ones
  18. Mike smith manifolds or ported stock
  19. what if you turn the ignition on/off but car is still up to temp? this will tell you if it's electrical or mechanical since switching igntion off should reset all electrics.
  20. i think it'll be worth it :) then he can finish my engine!!
  21. cool, has he given you a realistic timeline?
