FAO smw1
I live in Hackney / Clapton next to the marshes, just off the A12. Basically the nearest place to the centre that we could afford to buy a nice flat. It's a little weird having 2 James Morgan's on here but I'm sure we'll manage! Hope to see you on Sunday @ Lakeside, I'll be there for a few hours with my unsuspecting wife. Of course I'll be Z less, but not for too much longer I hope. James

FAO smw1
Hi Stu, i was browsing thru' your site tonight (very informative by the way), looked under the pictures tab, and the second row of pictures says James Morgan's Car Jan 2003. Now I found this just a little freaky since that's my name and I've just ordered my Zed! Thankfully the car's are different, otherwise I'll be getting really worried :D James

IT help please
there will usually be a jumper (not the wooly type) you'll need to move on the drive to tell it to be a slave. If you try both hard drives on the same channel as is chances are the PC won't boot. If you can't find the jumper on the old hard drive, change the one on your CD(it should be labelled at the back) and have the old hard drive and CD share the second channel. And yes, I'm another member that works in IT :D

underside of imports
thanks everybody, I wasn't overly concerned as it can't be that big a deal with some many other imports running around. FT, what kind of money are we talking about if you don't mind me asking? Cheers, James

underside of imports
In the last couple of days I've had two people tell me about needing to do some work on the underside of a jap import after it arrives :( What are they on about? Are the imports not rust protected underneath or something? If this is the case, have any of you with imports done anything about this? Thanks in advance

Christ that's freaky, I was talking to the guy selling that skyline today at work!! Wild Turkey - Take some of the things suggested here out for a test drive (I assume your not in a great rush) and if they don't stand up to the Zed, get another! :D At least you know what to look for this time round Best of luck whatever you decide to do

Importing from Japan
My biggest concern about doing it myself is once it's over here I find it needs a samll fortune spent on it to get it through MOT and SVA :( The other option I suppose is to get someone to look after all of that for me. Ray / Jiz300 - any chance of some contact e-mail addresses etc please....

Importing from Japan
Hello everybody, This is my first post on this forum so please be kind (to start with at least :) ) Just wondering if any of you have personally imported a zed and how did you find the process? Anything I should be aware of and how do I know what kind of condition it will be in mechanically - will the japanese grading system be enough? Thanks in advance James
