  5. mine were the same, just replaced them yesterday with some 6.5" alpine speakers. I had to drill mounting holes for these, but other than they fit fine. I guess you'll want 6" to use the standard mounting holes. HTH, James

I'm not the only one then :D :D
  11. I've had that happen too!! Then the fuel ignites in your cats... on the same journey I ended up on 4 cylinders, and when that happened I saw some glowing bits of ceramic being chucked out the back of the zorst  Took it easy the rest of the journey - lot of backfiring - and limped up to Jeff at Zedworld. He soon pointed out what the problem was. Anybody have any ideas how to stop them slipping out?
  12. 50 quid of optimax lasted about 240 - 250 miles yesterday fast motorway and thrashing on A/B roads - great fun :D :D
  13. cheers Jeff, I'll give you a ring later :D
  14. Thanks for the pic Jeff, looking forward to picking her up on Friday. Had the car 3 weeks, spent 2 weeks in the garage waiting to be registered, 1 day of driving then up to ZedWorld for a week !!
  15. yup, he's a nice guy, gave me and a mate a lift to the station too. You probably saw my Zed there (dark blue, no spoiler, and the front was probably in bits if Jeff was doing the timing belt at the time!) G*** WGW

well i would have thought we'd be asking you that since you have the NOS!! Anyhow, I wouldn't have thought it would make much difference unless you've also changed the amount of fuel being injected. As far as I know the extra power comes from burning up the NOS, not extra fuel.
  17. thanks guys, off to get my number plates made up at last :D :D James
  18. Help, I'm at work and need to get my number plates done up, so does anybody know what size the rear number plate should be to fit (japanese import). Finally found somewhere that'll do the plates up given the measurements, but I haven't got time to go home and go to this place in my lunch hour. Anybody remember from when they did theirs or have access to their car at the mo' Thank you, and there's a drink in it at the next meet :) James
  19. just did mine, fairly easy to do with a relay from maplin for a couple of quid. check out this thread http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16572&highlight=brake+wiring cheers, James

  21. I think it's the new scarab one, looks nice, not sure what it'll look like with plates on though - I think mine may have been lowered as I only have about 3" ground clearance, if that! check out http://www.zcentre.co.uk/frontbumpers/zc002b.htm and http://www.zcentre.co.uk/frontbumpers/zc002b_extra.htm cheers, James
  22. I know how to stop the rear wiper squeeking, just remove the whole darn unit!! ;) :D
  23. I'm working !!! Night shift from home, but basically on call so I've spent the whole week with the Zed :D :D Shame I haven't been able to drive it much though due to distinct lack of number plates :(
