Mate has a Boxter S, good shove from low down the rev range but nowhere near as quick in a straight line. Brakes and lateral traction are another matter though, well impressed:D Cost him 4 times more than my Zed though
  3. Very nice work !! Looks good, but where did those targa straps go?? :D
  4. for comparison my 89 TT manual with both O2 sensors dead is giving me about 12 mpg whn driving around London which then goes up to about 22mpg on the motorway :D Will get round to putting those new sensors on evetually ! James

  8. I'm no expert, but from what I've read I thought the det sensor only worked below 3500rpm or something ?? I could have my wires crossed and by talking absolute bull though :D
  9. failed miserably to put my wings west front bumper on yesterday yet the scarab/Greedy one just slid straight back on. maybe it's because the WW is urethane  will try again later ;) J

Pretty sure that's the same front bumper as SMW2, but that doesn't have a wide-arch kit fitted
  11. pictures would be nice :D
  12. ohh crap!!! you must be feeling gutted with all the work you've done. Does the car still bump start?
  13. In thorpe park yesterday, pulling in to park and get ushered into a field, then say I got myself some VIP parking (3 quid to park at entrance), parking attendants say back up and follow the road round, but by then some lady in an MPV pulls up behind me. Anyhow, I get bored waiting for her to move, so I drive into the field and do a quick 180 (arse end swinging around nicely :D ) and drive out the the next gate. Go past the parking attendants again and they both have the biggest smiles on their faces and struggle to give me the directions while looking the car over. I drive off and Louise goes "Was that really neccessary?" and I just smile and say "hell yes!" Just glad I didn't mess it up - how embaressing would that be :o
  14. nothing beats elbow grease I'm afraid ....
  15. Looks nice mate, bet you're well chuffed - looks like I'd better start saving for a trip to PPS:D Definately a lot better with the alloys on. As for the fronts, do what I have to do - use the standard jack to get the car high enough to get the trolley under ;)
  16. SHOW US!!!!!!!!:D
  17. I'll just add to all this by saying that I've had a few dealings with Jason and I've found him to be very honest and helpful. From what I can see it's just one of those things. James
  18. the one going to the back of the engine goes to the exhaust, so if you have de-cats it probably been bunged with something already and you can remove it. I left the other pipe as it seems to go back to some filter deep in the arch and I don't know what that does! HTH James
  19. Happy Birthday !! :D
