Are you getting detonation and what boost does your gauge say you're running (you have got an aftermarket gauge right?)
  2. WTF??
  3. going on from what stu says the controller in un-aware of the safety boost but the ecu may still retard timing etc not sure if this would stop your max boost though
  4. Mac, do you want a cheque up front or do we pay on the day?? looking forward to this now
  5. I used to have this until I fixed the holes in my exhaust. Still dips a lot but doesn't stall - I think my base idle was too low (400rpm) and my IAA valve needed a clean. Just need to sort my base idle now :D
  6. if this happens I could be persuaded to have yor rear bumper :D
  7. in, how long will it take though - just need to know if it's worth fitting the one vijay very kindly sent me (didn't know about this at the time) as my current one is leaking slowly
  8. rollers for me please :D
  9. MJP in the traders section for a new one, Andy Z fro a second hand one :D
  10. no expert but what's you're clutch fluid level like and is there a puddle under your car?
  11. check your O2 sensors ;)
  12. which part of the clutch line is this? (scuse my ignorance) any help with the feel of a twin plate HKS will be grateful :D
  13. don't suppose he left his number plate too? Sorry to see that happen, hopefully you'll find out who did it. :( on the other hand, perfect oppertunity for after market rear bumper and 99 spec lights?
  14. or just follow this write up (link taken from AndyP's site) http://www.aus300zxclub.com/tech/Alarm.htm This is what I did and you keep the warning chime for light on etc but no more speed or reversing chime :D
  15. nice  Out of interest how much did it cost and are you going to put something under the louvres for when it rains? :D
  16. well at least you got it out .... just a simple case of putting the bumper back on then ;)
  17. try option motorsport, I think they are the main UK distributors. I have tein Ha's on mine and they were quite quick to sorce some C-spanners for me. Good Customer Service too. Based in Silverstone. HTH James
  18. I'll be there for the Sunday :D
  19. Cheers Andy, looks like I've got the clutch bleeding to look forward to next weekend Vijay you have PM ;) :D James
  20. while fiddling around with the oil sensor I noticed I have a leak in one of the clutch hoses (see attached pic). Quite a small leak, only have a few drips in my parking space. I've also recently noticed it's difficult getting out of gear when maneuvering (sp?) around when cold. Could this be the cause? Is it just a case of ordering a new cable from MJP and changing it over (assuming I'll have to drain and refill system while I'm at it) Thank for your help :D
  21. Cool, just got mine yesterday :D :D
  22. Been thinking about this engine too cold stuff. What temperature should the Thermostat be kicking in at?? Surely this would ensure the engine came up to temperature then opened / closed on a run to use the radiator and maintain the temp. Or am I just not thinking straight?
  23. Sorry, just looks a mess really, none of the mods go together. Each to their own I guess and a lot of work has gone into it
  24. sod the filming I was far more worried about hitting the other cars   :D
