  1. they are quite as a mouse
  2. Jees, that was some quick work from this morning. Wouldn't mind keeping tabs on the progress too if you don't mind, especially being as there's a few things I need to do to mine soon. Told you they'd drop the back enough for you... how much ground clearance do you have at the rear now? 40-50mm?
  3. nope and nope. You can feel it through the pedal and it sinks about a cm when it does so with no change in braking strength, it only happens during braking, not when starting to break. hmm, will have a look tomorrow morning as I think one disk was showing wear in the middle only when washing her today, might be something to do with that. Thanks Stu - if i don't get anywhere we'll have a quick look
  4. Ok, I know it sounds weird, but when pressing on the brake, even gently, once you build up enough pressure (not stupid amounts) the I can feel the brake pedal click and it'll drop about 1cm. Any ideas why this is happening? Here's a clue - it most probably has something to do with me changing all the pads yesterday :D Just trying to work out what I did wrong to sort it out tomorrow
  5. it's the wings west one - urethane too :D there's a pic in my rides (thanks to smw1 for taking said pic )

did you check the PTU connection?
  7. Uk reads to 180mph, Jap reads to 190. I think US ones read to 160. See the Zcentre page for an example http://www.zcentre.co.uk/interior/otherdials.htm
  8. Here's a start 1) Chris 2) vijay 3) mtl 4) MikeGroves 5) jaffa - UK 6) syko 7) smw1 8) mickeyb
  9. Chris, you'll need different speedo ranges for Jap / Uk / US (if there are any here) I'll want UK for mine - 180mph
  10. would depend on price. If reasonable then definately, otherwise I'll settle for a Zcentre one since it will light up in blue. James
  11. does it do it in all gears? I sometimes get this but lower in the rpm range (1k-1.5k) in anything but 1st. Only happens when using small amount of throttle putting the engine under load. Interested to see what people think it is

if you're picking it up from southampton, book an MOT test at home that afternoon and drive it back, then cancel said MOT. Or have a garage prepared to say your booked in. Did the same myself - felt pretty self consious but that was also the first time I drove a Zed so wasn't used to the attention the car was generating.
  13. I've only been pulled the once and that was for having no front number plate attached while driving through the city. Number plate was on my dash as I'd just had the bumper fitted. They were pretty good, gave me a form to get stamped by an MOT station showing the plate was back on and that was that.
  14. ...and the front is the same to match the rear - anyway it looks a lot better and sits nicely on the front bumper
  15. It's alright Nigel, I completely agree with you about ill-legable plates. Personally my plate is standard font but motorbike size to fit my import bumper....
  16. excellent just seen these. Thanks for the pic, do you remeber which blue you went for as I'm thinking of going for a dark blue and wanted to compare. Do you also have a nice close up during the day?? Sorry for being cheeky :slap:
  17. Fancy Plates will make whatever plate you like as they are based in Ireland.
  18. now now, everyone put their handbags down:slap: :D I'm with SMW1 on this, let's make sure the friendly banter doesn't get out of hand and we'll let the cars do the talking on the strip - no excuses. Personally I think it'll be a great laugh and be very interesting to see how the cars compare. James PS This sounds like a good excuse for my first trip to the pod
  19. I don't think you really want to do this unless you only want the car for it's looks as you'll destroy the handling and what ride comfort you have

  21. Your welcome to round to my place. I'm around all week. Won't be able to do to the auto diagnostic though since I change gears the proper way :D (well attempt at least) based in Hackney
  22. just watched these and all the 1/4 mile times are around 17/18 seconds. Are they NA's racing?
  23. what kind of time were you thinking of as we've got plans late afternoon / evening.
