  1. Also, did anyone run at both RR days without changing anything, or only a small change for comparison
  2. From what I've read Zed's run quite lean off boost, than you should aim for 11.5-12.5 on boost depending on how rich / lean you want to be... If you've got 10.4 at 6600rpm means you're runNing rich at that point, and you can lean it out a bit for a bit more bhp. Also explains why your injectors are maxing out. When I get my arse up to Thor to get my AFC tuned I'll probably be aiming for 12:1 ratio on boost. HTH :)
  3. OK, hooked my AFC up today and it's around 0.5V with ignition on, engine off, and around 1.1V at idle.
  4. That's great news as I was thinking of coming to you to get my S-AFC2 set up (just finishing the install now...) Cheers, James
  5. this is all good stuff. Now lets see the pictures, videos and graphs!! Anyone doing a spreadie like the SE one?
  6. Did you get graphs with Air/Fuel ratios too?
  7. Try Dorset Insurance, I'm with them with mods declared. Expensive but cheapest I found due to age / post code.
  8. I'm with you on that Mac, but that means these guys are probably detting on the road too, that's why I said about running too much boost when the car's not set up for it. Roll on the figures and graphs ;)
  9. and why were people detting? lack of cooling or trying to run too much boost? A Dyno run should not be much different to a hard run in 4th on the motorway...
  10. Why are these never discussed here? I know Smithy was thinking about these a little while ago, bu does anyone on here already have them? They are supposed to make a big difference to spool up, and would make sense to fit while working in the gearbox area. Or along the same lines has anyone even tried pre-cat gutting - cheap, chearful (although messy) alternative ;) Just fancied getting some opinions and a discussion going... PS If everyone wants to put a kitty together for some Greg Dupree split downpipes I will happily provide my Zed as a test car and report my findings back to the forum :hyper: ;) ;)
  11. Adam, I disconnected mine ages ago and not had any problems. (apart from dead stock boost gauge obviously!). Also helps tidy that corner up a bit ;)
  12. If I get my AFC hooked up tonight I'll let you know what mine says
  13. Are you talking about the upper arms, as it may be worth paying a bit extra and getting adjustable upper arms so you can adjust front camber. That's if I'm thinking of the same bit!
  14. are you getting a spark? Has to be either that or lack of compression
  15. Ordered some stuff last friday and it was here on Monday. They were good with e-mail and I confirmed order by phone. 1st I'd used them and I'll use them again
  16. 'fraid not, will try again soon though
  17. Courtesey Nissan do and ConceptZ might if you contact them
  18. rears just take time with a hair dryer & oven and some prying apart. fairly easy as long as you don't rush. You'll break something if you rush Sides are a sod as you have to saw the red lens off first, sand the holder smooth (and I ended up filling the void for the lights the US use), spray a colour of choice (silver) then glue/seal new lens on in such a way as you can't see the sealant too easily (took me 4 attempts). also had to modify the holder to go back in properly as the clear lens is not as thick as the original red one. in other words it's a PITA!
  19. yup, that was me, I think it depends on the size of the sender as to whether it'll interfere or not. I think us Jap owners can put it were the UK one is (once I find out where that is - passanger side somewhere)
  20. yeah, they're $29 + P&P from the web site but I picked them up on here from someone who thought they were clear indicators then didn't want them ;)
  21. Paid 45 for the rears and fifteen for the side's, so not very expensive, and they have the same pattern as stock.
  22. Finally got some pictures taken this morning while out and about. Both rear indicators and side markers are from ZX Driver. All in all I'm very happy with them.
  23. Took me about 5 hours do it properly, quite easy as long as you take your time. Set up is just a case of some experimenting on quite, open roads.
  24. Do some searches on PTU and see if that helps, sounds like that could be the cause.
