low vacuum on startup
OK guys, I think this co-incides with the cold weather, but on cold start-up my vaccum is only reading around -10 psi, and then slowly goes to -18/-20 after a few minutes of idling.. (where it always used to be) If I start to drive it when it's like that it's very lumpy :( I've hunted around the engine but can't find any leaks when it happens - so any ideas? I've already got a new coolant sensor which I'm putting on in the morning, so I'll see if that helps.

if you do a search you'll find loads of discussions on this... Loads of different companies recomended by different people due to age, area, NCB etc. I'm 23, living in London and Dorset Insurance was the best for me (modified Import TT)

power surging @ low trottle setting
this might be the problem then as you should have felt a difference when crusing or only using a small amount of throttle. You need to hook up to a conzult so you can see the readings. I used to have problems when crusing and chaning speed slightly on the motorway, but would be fine when flooring it. 02 sensors sorted it for me :)
