Thank God for Traction Control
If I got it I'd probably do the same, then turn it on in the wet so I can actually accelerate!!

Thank God for Traction Control
I completely agree with all this but ( ) during the learning process above you could well write off your Zed and injure someone / yourself due to the power and speeds involved. I too am considering the merits and considering how much I get my arse out now it may well be a good idea for when the boost goes up! hmm....

Wot BHP?
Pete - did you not take part in the Apexi AVC-R GB? Cheapest you'll find!!

Recirculating dump valves
Mac, I've also got Blitz dump valves on my Hard pipes but my re-circ's are still in place. Have you removed yours? If so I can see that the main pipe needs to be bunged like it says in most write up's, but what do you do with the pipe that feed's the re-circs (or BOV if they're installed there). I figure that needs to be capped off too, but wouldn't it make more sense to cap it off at the source. Just asking 'cos it's easier than messing around in the bay seeing where everything comes from!! Cheers, James PS if you know the cap sizes required that would be cool ( I think Jeff mentioned 28mm for one)

big orrible tyres
what dunlops do you have? Mine has dunlops since it arrived, they slip at the top of first in the dry and when it's wet, well it's easier to say when they don't spin

Wot BHP?
I was thinking along the same lines. It'll be good to get a table going with Forum Name, supporting mods, and rwbhp after the day. I'm still running 9psi so would hope to see about 330bhp crank, not sure what it works out to be in rwbhp. James Performance Mods: HKS Superflow intake 5" twin exit TRUST exhaust back boxes 2.5" Powerflow exhaust centre section 2.5" stainless de-cat pipes Blitz ECU HKS twinplate clutch & flywheel 9psi

Rear Window replacement for a Jap import
just had national windscreens do my front one. Blue tint looks fine but I don't have a bronze tint on my other glass so that's ok. Took them 2 hours and they did it in the garage in case it rained. Cost - 60 quid excess on insurance . PS only phoned them up yesterday afternoon
-
Doh!!
new screen on, took them 2 hours in the end. New one is a definate blue tint and I quite like it. Much darker strip at the top too. Old one had no tint and small strip. Thankfully all the other glass in plain too so it doesn't look out of place. Now, do you reckon I could get the insurance co to change my door glass as they are both covered in long scratches ;) ;) :D
-
need help quick
I reckon you'll be ok as I've got 235 on the fronts stretched onto 9" alloys and they look fine, so 255's on 10" will be OK. so, how cheap ;)
-
need help quick
for comparison I have 255/40 on 17x9 at the back. Decent size profile so 255/35 on 18's should be fine. HTH James
-
Doh!!
not too worried about the tint as all my current glass is tint-less.... if that makes any sense, just a small strip on the top of the windscreen. Stu - what do you mean by clips?? roles of tint  I'll let you guys know what I think when they put the new one on tomorrow;)
-
Doh!!
yup it's driveable, cracks going in four directions, about the size of my hand end to end. Still at least it's only 60 quid through the insurance, and I might as well get it sorted sooner than later. Oh yeah, I was using a large piece of wood that was lying around and looked like it was just the right size. Turned out to be too big and slipped as i was trying to wedge it in. :(
-
Doh!!
Decided to have a go at fixing my peeling dash today, so removed my defroster guides, glued it up nicely and then when trying to wedge it down I slipped and cracked the windscreen!!! Ohh well, insurance co have sorted another one out and they're coming tomorrow. It's a UK one but don't really care.

What should James get ?
he's aleady got dump valves  tough one this as once the body mods are done you'll be craving for the wheels.... on the other hand you couldn't make up your mind last time... Have you driven one on the manual's? Also ChrisC made a good point, doesn't make much financial sense to change the box if there's nothing wrong with it. On the other handm it's the perfect time if it's shaggeed . Not voting as I don't know and James should go with what he wants... (as long as we don't get tortured for months while he decides on which wheels :slap: )

HELP!! I've killed it!
I think someone has mentioned that blocked PCV hoses could cause this as there'e no where for the pressure to go... May be worth doing a search on PCV hoses. HTH James PS They're not very expensive, about 50 quid, and you could probably do them yourself

Fuel Consumption??????
