  1. yup, can highly recommend Phil's work. Give him a call, he might be down your way sometime
  2. ok, I'll bite clutch/flywheel A would be the RPS carbon/carbon, B fidanza/rps sounds fine, but might wilt if you throw too much power at it. Gearbox OS Giken is the only real choice short of a dogbox which is of no use on the road prop 1-piece ali or carbon diff stock one isn't so bad, other wise quaiffe have released a good one. don't know mych about the OSG one Other things to consider if you haven't already: braided clutch line, bronze shifter bushings, short shifter, replacement diff & subframe bushes and get some lightweight wheels!
  3. retrimmed cobra misano.. http://www.sportseats4u.com/cobra-misano-reclining-seat-p-544.html
  4. the Z1 675rs / jwt 700BB / GT28RS are great turbos but overkill for 500 at the flywheel.
  5. yes, but you'll need skinny stretched tires to avoid rolling the arches, even then it'll be touch and go
  6. keep vtc if you can. if you find the cams are destroying the vtc springs and the noise winds you up then switch to adjustable cam gears. That's my plan anyway with the JWT 500+
  7. doubt it,assuming you mean on a 300zx. I would have thought your ecu would need to be recalibrated
  8. with aggresive cams the VTC springs wear and become noisy, which cams do you have out of interest? adjustable cam gears allow you to tune the cam timing for max torque at ceratin rpms. vtc gives you a better spread of power through the whole rev range.
  9. question is, do you really want them?
  10. i was thinking along these lines when read it the first time, was the crank rebalanced after it's little accident?
  11. depends on rim design, but i had split rims 18x9 running +33 and they cleared. Being 17" you might need a bit more clearance. To clear my 355 k sports i';m running a bigger spacer which effectively makes the offset +20 Need to roll the front arches to get away with this though with 265 tires. Try it, use a spacer if you need it. PS, your rears will catch the arches, need to be around +44 -> +40 with a 10" rim. Also with the wheel being 17" it will catch the hicas arm :(
  12. it's pretty much plug & play mate, use the startup maps provided by AEM to get it going. As for the mapping side, unless your planning on mapping yourself it's not an issue, just take it to a tuner for that bit. Mine started first time when I switched while staying on the MAF setup. Will be switching to MAP in the next few weeks. JaffaZ32 - fingers crossed for you
  13. just for funkysi - I agree, awesome stance :)
  14. fitted as per the instructions provided. for those that are intereseted, the kit is bed in and I'm truly impressed with the stopping power and solid feel of the pedal :)
  15. the autobox on my '98 535i was replaced about a year before I had it, think it cost £1k-1.5k to repair, can check receipts if you want.
  16. i've got an mxl strada, but not got it working with the aem yet
  17. 430hp at the flywheel or at the rear wheels? how much boost do you run with the boost controller off? does the controller alter the boost levels at all? Did you tune your AFR, surprising how much power you'll release by getting closer to 11.0/11.5
  18. let me know if still want those smic's :)
  19. yes, they're good but I suspect the spring rate is too much for road use
  20. Thanks for the update Stu
  21. yup, I got a quick update this morning too
