General Discussions - 300ZX Related

It still aint F-ing right, ever since I got the Damn thing. It works then doesnt. Who used the wiring for TT.net? Is that right, becuase if the inline fuse goes on the TC box, the whole F-car wont work, becuase that is the power to the ECU. I really Feked off about it. It dangerous. It works for a day, I try pull out of into traffic quickly and cos it then stops working my car comes to a grinding halt when it reaches 1750rmp. F-ed off with it really. Stuart

I'm trying to fir front pads, but can't get the calipers to retract enough, or at all ! What am I doing wrong, any ideas ? Thanks in advance. Herman

Dear All I have seen some (what look like) good import Z32s for sale, but am wondering a few things. The auto box will require an external oil cooler to be fitted, and I know they do not have a diff. cooler. Can a diff. cooler be fitted? Are there any major differences to be aware of, like parts for example and what is their reliability like compared to UK spec ones? Following my previous thread, the title of this is a little more to show what Im after: "For anyone out there breaking a 300zx TT - and I know there are a few of ya Im looking for a pair of front, 4 pot calipers for my trusted 200, older steel style preferably - must be in good condition though - last thing I want is sticky calipers, and must be the type that holds the 30mm thick disks. Any one have one? Whats the cost gonna be? Obviously it has to be in good nick. I have noticed a damp line under the passenger rear wheel arch, with wet mud stuck to it. The mud reaks of petrol. After starting the car this morning the revs were at the normal (cold start) 1400rpm. The strange thing was that when I pressed the accelator the revs dropped to around 800rpm before picking up. Anyone know what is causing this please? After she was warm the revs settled at the usual 700rpm and she picked up fine. Should I be worried? Many thanks ------------------

Hi folks, You know all them fuses in that easy to reach cubby-hole down by the accelerator, right? Well, mine is all in Nippon so I have no idea what each one does. Does anyone have the info on what's what in there? My cigarette lighter and clock were not working so I pulled them one at a time until I found a broken one and replaced it...result: A working cigarette lighter but still a broken clock (suprise suprise)! i took on a tvr a couple of months ago.i was only doing 165 on the M1 and he left me whilst sat along side me. we had been playing cat and mouse for about ten miles when he must of got bored and took off. has anyone else had there arse kicked recently. i had my bird sat with me at the time and we were both gutted, thats one time when i wanted to trade it in and buy a tvr!!! without a doubt this company should beat any other for zed quotes. ive looked everywhere and they beat everyone by atleast £500 if anyone knows any better i'd love to hear of it

I'm Still struggling with my beemer, have been for some time! See what you think of this. I set the timing on No1 to 25deg BTDC at 2900 rpm as per book, easy off and it idles reaaly bad, timing is now about 10deg after TDC. Anyway i disconnet the advance vacuum and it about right now. About 28deg at 2900 and 13deg at 900rpm However there is more, much more. While it is idling really badly I try unplugging a spark lead to see if a cylinder is out, take No1 off and makes absolutely no difference, take No2 lead off, still no difference in engine note what so ever. Both 1 and 2 out!!! So i pull No 3, now it judders like a bitch, put it back on, pu…

This BREATHER KIT !!!, from looking at said item & asking a few of for your comments. It appears to be, one 1 way valve (operating under 0.3 psi), & 1 angled gause oil catch filter in two plastic surrounds. And a pipe or two, of 8mm ish i/d. I've also waited a week or SO! for it to arrive as most. But it recently accoured to me that the 'plasma' & oxy-acetaline systems i use every day, are spookily similar. But in brass not plastic. Anything you can add to the requirements needed would be thanked wholesomely, before i fit my own kit in about a week. harve
