I got my tyres tracked at Thistlethwaite Tyres in Bolton. 4 wheel tracking and adjustment for £33. Not bad, this also included a camber check too. They must check the tracking properly, IE loosen the track rod ends on both sides, un like some places who just do one side and often makes your steering wheel lob sided. Dont know what they are like for tyres but some one was having some put on as I arrived. And this place has a great gimmik that I hope catches on with other places. Get this, they put the wheel nuts on using, a TORQUE WRENCH. WOW!!!!!!!!!! How many places do that now a days. Any way. Now my tracking is done, nice print out of all the values, what they sh…

I have seen some aftermarket ones with built in indicators ala mercedes style, that are alledgedly universal, just how universal they are remains to be seen. OK - just talked to Middlehurst Nissan garage in St.Helens and asked them about this £25 charge. The chap there said its only charged when the part number cannot be found on disc and he said for the 300zx it has been around so long and that the part numnbers are 99% the same as each other that its unlikely that a charge will need to be made as they will have them all on disc. He reckons it more of a problem for Skyline GTR owners. You can contact Middlehurst on 01744 26681, they are very helpful. Oh yes, and the £25 charge is what Nissan GB charge them for the search

Hi Guys, Had an idea,God knows where it came from, was having a look at the engine and noticed a the plastic cowling and rubber seal just below the windscreen wipers. I noticed that this virtually sealed the engine compartment tighter than a pressure cooker. I thought that if the rubber seal was removed then this would release some of the heat from the engine bay, when the car moves this area creates an area of low pressure (venturi effect)and would suck even more air out of the engine bay. The downside to this is that it looks like it would let water drip down the bulkhead, and maybe damage electrical components or other items that my limited mechanical knowledge …

Where exactly do you drill the hole to get rid of the water buildup that causes the gurgling.

Fitting my nice new and shiny, well dull silver, HKS EVC 4. What I need to know is what to set the low, high and scramble settings to. As I understand it, setting it too high will damage my engine or turbos? but how do I know what to set them to? Come on you advanced motoring engineers.
