Most commonly it is your turbo seals leaking.

While the car is stood, the oil seeps through the seals in to the exhause and when you start up it burns off making a puff of blue smoke

Thanx for that is it expensive or not much to be concerned about!!!

It may be OK for the time being, but it will get worse over time. How much I dont know. Mine may do it but I have never had it standing for more than a day or so at a time. If it does it when you leave it over night, then get worried.

It is expensive. The seals probably cost you £20 or so. Ahhhh, that aint to bad. But its an engine out job which will cost you around the £500 £600 mark. I am suprised the havent lasted so long. What modifications are on it if any?

Hi Stu no mods here mate well nopne that i know of.The guy i got it from said it was stock!!!!!

cheers

Dave

This happened to me on the day I bought mine. The only reason I can think that it happened was because I turned the engine off straight away after a 200mile journey.

I have owned the car since last September - it has never done it since. Change your oil frequently and go for something a little thicker I say. I use Mobil 1 Motorsport 10W-50.

A bit pricey but what cost do you put on the maintenance of your engine!
