Parking Ticket

Anyone know how to get around these little annoying pieces of paper that ask for £30.

Featured Replies

Only way is if you have freinds in higher places, don't protest it, it will become a 75 piece of paper then,

you could say you were parked outside a family members house and they were having a heart attack or something, but if you loose then you have to pay court fees.

Hate them, I've been unlucky enough to get two outside work! Forgot about one and about 3 months later it was 80 squids asap or a court appearance! Daylight robbery or what, just pay the 30 and be unhappy for a few hours...much less painful than paying 80 squids months later I can assure you bud! wink.gif

a thirty quidder means its a police one and not off a warden so you dont even get the chance to pay early and only pay a tenner

So i've been informed on this subject by a supposedly reliable source if the fine is £30 then send a cheque for £31,reason being that because you have paid the wrong amount but have sent them payment for the ticket, they wont put the cheque through because they will also have to process a refund payment of £1 for you and this is not worth their while to do that as it will cost more to refund the £1 than the £30 ticket payment!!! The good thing is that they also cant up the charge to £60 because you have made the payment for the £30 in the first place!!!

As i said whether this is true or not i don't know but hey, for the extra quid i think it's worth the gamble of getting off without being charged for the £30 ticket.

That's a complete fallacy. One of the urban myths on snopes. Hold up and I'll find it for you.
