Hi guys, I'm after a cheap laptop for a project I'm working on. Minimum spec must be: Pentium 200MHz 32Mb RAM (pref 64Mb) Windows 95 or 98 Integrated FDD Would be nice if it comes with a CD drive and modem but not strictly necessary. I have no price in mind as I'm not well versed in what these things cost, so I'm open to suggestions. If anyone wants to part with the above, please e-mail me on dannyzaat@yahoo.co.uk or phone me on 070440 16586. Many thanks, Danny

Can anyone tell if they have the right amount of oil in their Z because as we already know, the dipstick method of checking is absolutely cr#p. My service manual says that the oil capacity with the oil filter is 3.4 liters. I do an oil change tonight and fill up with 3.5 liters of oil and barely get any reading on the dipstick! I put another 0.5 Liters in and then can just about make out on one side of the dipstick that the oil is half way up. So..... I've put more oil in than the service manual says I should and if I didn't know that I put exactly 4liters in then I would be looking at the dipstick thinking it needed another liter or so. There must also b…

The zed doesnt wanna start. Before you ask yes its low on fuel, but once it stsarted it runs a dream, just takes forever to start. Now the car had a fuel leak last time we used it in the winter smelt like a service station, but i really cant see any leakage in the bay anywhere and it doesnt smell any more. Seems to have gone away. Now I know its more than likely to do with it being low on fuel but could is be something to do with that old leak haunting us?

Does anyone have the part numbers for brake pad shims (front and rear)? I've read some of the "how-to"s and the fiche on TT.net but it's all very confusing. Fiche says... 41080-0889 (front) 44080- (rear) How-to says... 41080-40P26 (front) They're for a 7/90 Jap spec 2+2, if that makes a difference. Ta muchly.

I have a 1990 modified Twin Turbo, and I have just discovered a couple of components under the trim in the passenger foot-well that i did not know about. They are an HKS Automatic Line Oil Pressure Controller, and a Project M ECU. Can anybody enlighten me as to what they do,and how they improve my car's performance?

I have put in 0.5mm/hg into the unit convertor and it returns 0.00965psi. My car runs at max boost 0.5mm/hg on my GReddy boost gauge which I have no reason to doubt This sound right for a stock boost zed? Thanks Glen

Hi all, Just got my head off and cleaning up the faces, you wouldn't believe how relieved I was to see a shagged head gasket when the head came off. Anyway what do you lot think to using gasket sealer on the head gasket for that extra bit of grip? And if it's worth doing which one? Cheers, Jezz.

Alternator sorted - loose connection on battery feed back wire, so it cooked itself, For me it was Dismantle & replace 6mm bolt terminal......BUT. As the alternator is an open cage variety - the crap & bits in the casing & around the armature was unbelieveable. flies, feathers, dust, carbon & a shreaded wrapper off something! Now its 14+ volts again, so if yours isn't? its worth a look & 30 seconds with an air line to clean it before you have to go to the remove & swear stage. Cos i had to 'make' a long bent 15mm spanner to reach the back nut on it. harve ------------------

well here goes. sounded a little tappetey today not loud but definatly making some noise. tonight i lift bonnet grab throttle cable and listen,at about 2000 rpm v.loud noise sounds like there is somthing loose internally. runs v.smooth from 3000rpm upwards. then i remove the oil filler cap, big hiss for a few seconds then revs drop to about 600rpm. now i have never had that in there before. i then replace cap and revs rise to 850rpm. what do you think. any one else had this? please only reply if you genuinely think you know whats wrong. cheers "T"........

Hi, Just thought I would keep you posted on experiments at the Southern Californian College of the Z. I pulled off the Rubber trim at the top of the bulkhead from the driver side, to a piece of wiring loom that enters the bulkhead. I then proceeded to empty a years worth of rain in 20 seconds onto the windscreen and none of it entered the engine bay. Removing that rubber trim must create a least 10 square inches of ventilation, pretty valuable I would have thought. Also what does the rubber trim on the underside of the bonnet at the front do, has anybody any ideas? The rubber trim on the next Twin Turbo I get is going, did I mention I've got a NA con…
