does anybody no where i can get castrol rs 10w-60 oil from? tried all the car parts shops round are way and none of them sell it. do millers also make an oil of the same rating and if so where could i get that. cheers aki

Just came back from lunch, along the way this wrx was barging in/out of traffic and got to the lights before me so I pull up behind. Lights green and WRX races off so I think hmmm lets have some fun...! Up to about fifty the WRX had the edge but it pulled over and let me pass and I just left this thing standing. You have to understand that I'm not a 'boy racer' type person and don't like giving the car to much grief but every now and then.....!?! Just put the biggest smile on my face for a while when those turbo's kicked in!. By the way, I do actually like the Subaru's they look like a fun car to drive. Anyone here actually driven one??. Had an interesting discussion about what could be the cause/fix on a common Z failure, aka leaking turbo seals. Damage to the turboseals and bearings is very often caused by compressor surge. Compressor surge occurs during boost and when you let of the throttle, the air in the system has nowhere to go, while the compressor is still spinning at extremely high speeds. This causes the pressure in the boost lines to dramatically jump and as an effect of this it puts a severe load on the compressor wheel, bearings and seals. This is where the recirculation valves come in, they are there to reduce this compressor surge. They release the pressure from the bo…

Just got some of these through and yet again Samco can't seem to put the logo on the right side, so got 4 Red and 4 Blue, complete with stainless hose bands and postage, £35.00 all in, normally £42.50 O.E hose from Nissan £33.50 + vat, so a bargain ......... smithy

Whats the best aftermarket exhaust for the TT ( only want back end). I'm looking at a Mongoose ( I know there are better) but are they any good? Any HP gains? Sound? How much? Where and who supplies them? Thanks all.

Just been reading on Twinturbo.net about a modification to the TBs that can achieve an extra 10hp, just wondered if anyone had any experience of it. My limited understanding suggests that by allowing the butterflies to be less restrictive to the flow of air at WOT the gains can be made. It involves some filing of the TB and bending of the butterflies. What do you make of it? Mark

seem to be geting oil coming down the intercooler pipe off side and dripping out on to the drive. what could this mean ? is the turbo seal knackered ? any clues ? cheers Tim

my handbrake wont hold my car on a slope anymore ive looked at the adjustment on the lever its self and it wont adjust any further i was told you could adjust from the rear discs what i would like to know is howeasy is it to adjust or would i be better off replacing the cables (any idea of price and can i get non genuine) many thanks mark

Hi.... My name is Kristinn and I have problem with my Z. I own a 300zx two seater ´90 US edition it has 160.000 miles on it. It has A/C, I´m having problems with the idle, when the A/C is on, the idle is steady at 1100rpm but when it´s off it rocks up and down from 300rpm up to 1600rmp. I have already changed the throttle position sensor and levelled it of at 4,7 volts but it still doesn´t idle like it should. Also, when I disconnect one vacum line in the engine it idles correctly, but it can´t be driven like that, but when I connect the vacum line it starts rocking from 300rmp to 1600rpm. My problem only occurs when the car is idling not durin…
