Last week i posted problems with me motor and the ecu would not go into diag mode, put in an ecu from jap import to find problem solved, but as i have uk manual needed to find out if it was just ecu or newly fitted chip gone tits up, so after seeing how the SE chip rocks with some of you guys i decided against my better judgment to ring em. I explain ecu is already chipped and i just need the chip it self so i can fit and check things out, "will call back in 5 mins" they say, "will ask Pete" let me know soon then so i can catch tonites post, over 2 hours later i call back, different bloke this time goes off and asks Pete,NO, gotta send ecu to them, okay i say can do by sp…

I just passed the wonderful boys in blue (or dayglo yellow in this case) with their funny little hand held camera monitoring the speed of drivers on my local B road at midnight.(that's midnight!!! B Road!!!!) It's really comforting to know they are out there 24 hours a day making the world a better place. I am now sending lurv to all speed cops of the world and invite you all to do the same. I don't think he got me, the ba$$tard! Haven't they got homes to go to? I heard some of em were married!?

We all know that the stock Turbo gauge is bad, but how good is the stock oil pressure gauge? Mines going up and down all over the place. I know about the pressure sender unit, but I was wondering if a new pressure gauge will help. Dont fancy spending £80+VAT for the sender unit. Stuart

Any of you Zedders got a Mettalic Black motor? Problem is that i've been trying to touch up the stone chips on the front bumper today....after much motorway miles and being stuck behind gritters in the winter! Just wanted to know if anyone has a decent paint match from the Halfords type aerosols. Tried BMW Cosmos Black thinking it was a good match, but it still a shade too light. Nissan Kuro Black is perfect, except it's not a metallic finish! Cheerz

This is what had to be done to fit these babys Caliper split and alloy spaced,in order to fit 35mm discs and pads inside,Mounting holes resized and moved 5mm down to fit stock bolts straight on,these now bolt straight on the factory mounts,a nice pair of kevlar pads priced at £180 should be with me tomorrow,so I can now refit them . ------------------ [This message has been edited by MAC 1 (edited 26-04-2002).]

Anyone got a pic of a silver Z with wide arches and the Strosek round rear light conversion? I have blacked out my current rear lights and they look really mean but I like the round ones on some cars but not so sure on others. Johnny ginger's looks superb and I think it suits the wide arches (which i'm getting) better than standard ones. Time for a vote!

Ohaye yup! Phoned the number in a previous thread and spoke to a guy called Gareth, as recommended by MCZX. Said to him I had another car and wanted to insure a modified imported 300zx Twin Turbo on limited mileage classic policy. Told him I had always driven on my fathers policy so had zero No Claims Discount. Told him I had expensive alloys, kit, GReddy Zorst and HKS Induction. Told him I would limit miles to 3000 and it was garaged and not used for work. Top bloke, called me back within half an hour and result: Fully Comp, 0 NCD : £475 Kerrching - I thank you! Thats cool, I can now get a unichip as NU-Direct only allowed 3 m…

And it has 16" wheels. 2nd gear accelerating up to 6000rpm and barely caught up... into 3rd gear and accelerated quickly to 6000rpm and made no progress... WTF...this thing must have one hell of a turbo bolted on? I've only moved 50 yards in two gear changes. DOH! Fried the clutch disc without trying RIP RPS clutch disc Steve [This message has been edited by Steve E (edited 25-04-2002).]
