Okay, I'm a total numbskull when it comes to suspension. I've just had a 'Full Nelson' (major service!) and have been told that my tie-bar bushes are starting to split. 1 WTF are these and will the car be unsafe ? 2 What kind of cost do these puppies run to? 3 The usual 'if it breaks-mod it' rules apply- can you get poly ones and are they worth it. 4 WTF am I doing posting this in the general instead of the tech form. Ah well- too late now Cheerz Dave BTW I saw a white Z near Southport station at 5.00 pm- was it you?????

Hi Guys Just started to take my breather kit off and I need to ask some advice. I purchased two new pipes to the crankcase REF: 11823-40PO1 and 11823-40P11 (thanks for the part numbers Eric ). I need to know which pipe goes on which side of the car. I also need to know which way around they go. As Lack300 said (in my last breather kit post) the stock pipes have a restrictor and a brush type thing inside. Does the restrictor face up to the crankcase pipe or down to the large round black hardpipe???. I would be very grateful if anyone can tell me which way these pipes connect on. PleasePleasePLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! Cheerz Simon H. BTW Thanks again Eric …

Beefy Fart Sounds loud, and will smell a bit like the rotting offspring of a B.S.E infected cow and a dog turd. Brewer Fart You try to push a brewer fart out, but it stays firmly lodged deep within your bowels. You come to the conclusion that it is some form of gaseous landmark. Bunbuster Fart Sounds like a Beefy Fart, except much more sudden and much much more powerful. Generally smells eggy or beefy. Leaves your asshole smarting. You really feel these babies. Compost Fart You know the compost heap that a gardener keeps at the bottom of the garden? Well if you jump on it you will have some idea of what a compost fart sounds and smells like. Do n…

Hi all, I desparately need to make a backup of certain documents from my PC (as it has had several viruses on it over the past few weeks). I can easily make backups of everything I need EXCEPT my MS Outlook and MS Outlook Express mail files. Does anyone know where on the HDD these are saved to? I have a PC with a standard Win98 install, i.e., no fancy installation tricks or custom install jobs. Looked everywhere, left no directory unscanned, but can't find my mail! Any help & suggestions are much appreciated. Danny

  14. Hi all, This morning I had a very interesting conversation with someone who works for the company that manufactures the ordinary speed cameras in the UK. She mentioned that one way of telling that a box has an operational camera in it is to observe two ventilation holes opened at the back of the box. They will be open for ventilation purposes and closed when there isn't a cam inside. On my way home from my training I passed four cameras and only one of them had the vent holes opened - presumably containing an operational camera (couldn't check coz I was stuck in traffic). That would make sense as per general consensus only 25% of all speed cameras are actually operat…

Does anyone know of any garages (or even a Nelson with a good reputation) in Hampshire?? I'm in Pompey, so the nearer to there the better (we've got Hilsea Nissan, anyone used them?) Being having major coolant probs last couple of weeks whereby it keeps boiling up during motorway travel and then comes pissing out of the overflow everywhere shortly after leaving motorway, as the latent heat builds up. Tried a few bits mytself, but no joy. Need the car for work, no time to dick around anymore with it myself, so need somewhere to take it ASAP for more investigation. Anyone in my neck of the woods got any suggestions where I can take it?? Cheers all. …

Hi all, I have a leak on both sides, just above and to the door side of the front seats. Which seals do I need to replace?? - it's dripping from where the trim at the edge of the windscreen neets the roof lining - kind of alongside the sun visors. Any (relevant) advice appreciated :-) RobH
