urgent advise please.turbo gauge negative

doesnt seem to be losing power(i think) but not getting past zero on the boost gauge. Am i trying to kid myself that it might be something simple, or is it the turbo seized. any help or check tips greatly appreciated.

Could be the vacuum pipe fallen off the boost gauge sender. The pipe comes off the back of the balance pipe that links the two side of the plenum and goes into a little black box just in front of the bonnet hinge on the drivers side.

the reason i dont think the turbos have gone is because the car cut out a couple of times and seems to be running shit in the low revs.Would there be any smoke from the car if they have gone? can i still drive it or will it cause any damage to do so?

cheers

You will know when a turbo is siezed or broken as it feels like the car is slower than a 1.4 Corsa.

You will have no power at all.

check connections, first thing is faulty boost guage.

Steve has the car always done this or has it suddenly started happening? It sounds like a possibility you have some vac lines swapped over somewhere. Seen this a few times with these cars...

Came home last night and saw the gauge moving from negative to zero but no further. never had any probs with it up till now but dont understand why i havent lost power.Would i see any smoke if the turbos have gone?

Well it wont smoke if the turbo siezed.

Cant you feel if the car is pulling strongly or not, You must know if its getting boost or not?

definately getting boost

thanks for the help. All seems fine now.dont know what it was but im not going to question it.the gauge is reading normal and still running nice and quick. Thanks again for the help.
