Hi, I am considering getting a bodykit for the convertible, but I have seen some I've liked on websites, when I saw them on a car, they weren't my cup of tea! Really I am asking are there any kits out there, that people have had experience of and thought they rubbish, good or indifferent, fit, quality wise etc.. Also is there anybody out there around the London/Surey area that has a bodykit fitted, that I could have a Butchers at, to see if I like the look of it? All the best, Mark

so i dont hijack nitro's thread any further i've started my own. do any of you chaps have a good st or amiga emulator and the game elite for sale....before you techies bombard me with websites and stuff i need them on cd as ive tried many times to download them and failed

I've got a manual Jap import 300zx and have developed a starter motor problem. The starter notor turns on ignition but doesn't turn the engine over, presuming it's a sticking solenoid? Are the starter motors and solenoids easy to get hold of and if so does anybody know the part numbers, in case i need them.

I've ordered that hub for you, had to get it delivered to me though.

Going to have a go at changing the rear shocks on my car tomorrow night. Is this a fairly straight forward job to do?. Is there anything specific I should know ( tools required etc). Are there any tech notes on how to do this procedure?. I can't find one on ttnet. I would be grateful for any thoughts or comments guys. Cheerz Simon H

i'm gonna put a new exhaust on my car and hav'nt got a clue which one i should go for,everyone i ask say different ones. i want one which sounds good and gives as much increase/ bhp,but not one thats gonna do my head in on the motorway come on everyone which exhaust would you have:- 1, mongoose 2, scorpion 3, hks 4, ? 5, ? the zcentre exhaust sounds goods a good buy what do you think. any help, hints, tips would be appreciated thanks jay

I know your a fellow vibes sufferer so i thought id let you know that i think ive found mine, when driving it with the wheels off i could hear the loud noise comming from the n/side hub the sound is comming from the c.v and when you look at the driveshaft its not spinning true so im gonna replace the driveshaft and cv get it 4 wheel alligned and cross my fingers. Can you recomend anywhere that does driveshafts in the midlands area? Good luck with your vibe hunting! B19RKS

I played mechanic today, took the wheels off my z and ran it on axle stands, i was worried that the prop was knackered as the noise and vibration im getting is louder than my stereo, Anywayran the car on axle stands, vibes still there so i got my brother to sit in it and take it to 60kmph the noise was really loud at the near side hub and silent at the offside ive nailed the sound to the nearside rear c.v joint and the driveshaft attached to it is clearly not spinning true. Im chuffed ive found the problem now all ive got to do is fix it! Jeff TT if your out there anywhere what are you like at changing driveshafts/c.v's (still got to get the steering boots done too!)

well i have to say these 2 cars are the maddest ive ever seen. if anyone is interested in the purple kit i can import them specially from japan but be warned the kit would cost £2500 to get here as it is custom built in Japan to order. Takes about 3mnths from start to finish to get here but as far as im aware NOONE in the UK has it.

hey bud, im not in habit of stealing peoples kits idea but i need an under rear spoiler and yours is best ive seen. Is it off the stillen kit or is it different? Either way i want 1!!!!!! my 300zx if full kitted xept for a rear underspoiler and i want new mad sideskirts. cheers for the alloy info ill phone them asap

I see lately there has been a few guys trying to find part numbers and with Nelson now charging for the jap imports, could we not have an area on the forum, where everyone who buys from their local dealer, lists both the part numbers and the price paid for any parts purchased, in a box next to it, mark jap or uk, that way in no time at all im sure when people want to buy something, they simply look up the part number in the ready made list and will also know an approx price to expect to pay, gotta be worth a go guys. what you got to say about these tyres? Are they gonna be out of control in the wet just like the crappy jap ones on atm or will they have some amount of traction? the oens on atm are really bad im talking it will swing round driving like a granny.

I'm after one of these, does anybody have an old one they no longer need? Condition is not that important as i will probably paint it, no cracks though. How much do Nissan charge for a new one?

When i lift of the thottle after accelerating i am hearing a noise that sounds like a creaking door or air horn, this happened not long after i fitted a stainless steel mesh induction kit. I'm thinking that this might be a leaking pipe by the recirc valve or even the recirc valve itself, but this is just a wild stab in the dark. If this does turn out to be the recirc valve would fitting a dump valve help? Does anybody have any recommendations for BOV's, and why are they so expensive? I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for what is ultimatly nothing more than a pretty noise.

changing the brakes today and it seems the brake lines I've been supplied are all wrong in some way or another. Firsty am I right in saying that on the rear, you change the rubber hose (circled in yellow) only and still use the metal pipe that goes to the calliper? And on the front, does it matter if I miss the locator circled, as the new line is not long enough to go through it. The original line went like the line in red.
