Hi - yes - I'm actually back in the country. How ya doing? If anyone else has a set of fogs, stock US Nissan or not, how did you decide to wire them up? (yes, obviously on a US style front bumper) Via the rear fog light switch? Has anyone had them peramently wired to come on with the dipped lights, possibably they're too bright for on-comming cars etc... [This message has been edited by Jez (edited 05-05-2002).]

I dont have a TT z just the 3l v6. As far as im aware its 222hp as standard. Two of my m8s have got gti-rs pushing out 280-300hp and they are very scary cars to be in. Pulsars are VERY fast. I was wondering if people have any opinion on fitting a 2litre 300bhp turbo gti-r engine in a zed. Would it still be faster than a standard non-turbo Z, because obviously the Z is far heavier than the gti-r. It means i could get a dump valve and all the other little toys that come with a turbo. Im not really interested in getting a TT because of the fuel consumption and prefer looks to speed but i was thinking about this today and am just interested more than anything to know if it wo…

Had an HKS EVC IV fitted now I have to set it up. Does the 300zxTT use a single port, swing type or internal type wastegate OR a dual port, poppet or external type wastegate? Can't go any further with the set up instructions without this info. ------------------ Z first and anything else is secondary! John Newcomb (NukeEm) www.geocities.com/jn300zxtt

Since my Z's still up on stands waiting for nice new shocks (hello Mark?!) I thought I'd do an AT fluid change. No dice - the "How-to" says to remove the tranny oil pan, but most of the bolts are hidden by the exhaust heat shield. Anyone else done this? Do I have to remove the exhaust first?!

I am (was) still waiting for my 'kit' to arrive some 6ish months now. Nothing. But i know & can read between the lines posts of the past months! And after seeing & judging for myself as an engineer this 'kit' just aint the one! Johnny & AndyP who were good enough to get the ball rolling from day 1, did not know where this was going to lead - me thinks! So I will not call T Tec's anymore - because (I DONT WANT IT ANYMORE). I've tried ringing GPS last week & if he's as busy as me i understand why i can't get through, we all got bills to pay. So i would like to know if the money I payed to 'GPS' will be held by Johnny at 'GPS' as a cre…

It happens 10 minutes ago. Me (AUTO TT Stage III) vs my brother (MANUAL TT Stage III) We start from rolling at about 40. 1st time i didnt used my boost controller and at about 700 meters he had me at about 8 cars length. Damn 2nd time i had the lead and as soon as he hits 3rd gear he gets in front (he doesnt have a boost controller and he was working standard PSI) at the end of the 700 meters he had me for 4 cars length Damn those manuals are really fast. I wasnt expect him to win. Anyway I am glad I've lost by my brother who drives a 300ZX. Next time we are going to try from standing still and 400 meters only...Maybe I will have a chance…

If it ain't one thing its another, i think i need a bottomless wallet. Within the last 500 miles me car has started to smoke, very slight at first and now it chuckes it out, smelly thick blue smoke when its cold. I can leave it on tick over for 15 mins to warm it up and it still smokes even though its up temperature, but when i drive it its stops after 2mins, then it doesn't smoke again until its stone cold. I have noticed when de-accelerating I can hear a sucking noise that I didn't notice before. Performance wise haven't really noticed any difference. I gutted the CATS about a 1000 miles ago, apart from that the car is standard and got nearly 70,000 on the clock. D…

I was offered a slightly non running H reg imported twin turbo auto yesterday at a good price, so Ijust couldn't resist. What will my wife say :-( I'm 90% sure I'll be dismantling it, unless I'm very lucky and my Z mechanic Darron says he can resusitate it. Anyway, that means all bits are available again. I'll get Darron to try and fire up the engine aswell, so I can see if its a gooden. Thanks AndyZ

ive just had a monster install put in. The boot needs a last layer on top to cover the amps/leads etc but other than that its complete. problem is the vibrations. Anything plastic/not welded down is making it sound bad. I know about the dynomat or whatever its called but £13 for 2 little pads is gonna empty my pockets. oes any1 have any advice/know any alternatives. Tooley what did you use for your monster install. O and its really funny driving down the motorway seeing the windows vibrating.
