Thought you all may be interested to know the outcome of my antics yesterday when i had a good old blast with a V reg Corvette C5....Hey stupid don't even bother, you may have 5.5litres under ya bonnet but i have Jap turbo power. At the set of lights on the A10 in Enfield he pulled up next to me revving his engine and looking over at me he said, and i quote "so what the hell is that thing?" to which i replied "It's about to kick your ass!!!" so you can guess what happened next....yep you got it we went for it big time and when i got up to about 90mph he was about 10 car lengths back and just a red blip in my rear view!!!! Got an email from Trevor Tan from http://www.visualdynamics.ca , he's the guy that supplied the previous tt.net group buys with the Philips Z32 HID headlight Kits. Heres some of what he said: If this group buy goes ahead next month and 20+ people go for it it would be approx £272 which seems to me like a good price and a reason to start saving. So what would be the interest from UK/Europe Z owners? Bearing in mind that we would have to pay VAT and duty etc(unless anyone has a way around it?). Have a look at his site http://www.visualdynamics.ca for comparison pictures to see the difference this kit makes and search on tt.net for how many people…

Just wanted to say if anyone needs an mechanic who knows(and drives) a 300zx, then let me know. He's just helped me out sorting out my brakes and while chatting to him, it turns out he worked for Nissan for 15 years and has done all the Nissan training on 300's. He's worked on them since they were first out. Vijay

Bearing in mind one of you guys is in there next month, I'd have a word in their shell like. In the top 100 cars bit they list the 300ZX TT as 0-60 in 7.1 secs and a top speed of a measly 148MPH! HHHHHHMmmmmm.

Just thought I'd let people know what happened today. I was jacking up the front of the car (from the cross member) and just putting axle stands under the side rails. They were just about in place, but I had to get the car up just a little bit more when suddenly the jack slipped from under the cross member. Luckily for me the stands were just about in the right place, otherwise I would imagine I would have done a nice bit of damage. I used a small woulden circle the fits in the jack and was told this would be fine, seams not. The car always seams to move slightly on the jack when I'm lifting, but I read this was normal. Does anyone have any advise that might stop thi…

I've changed my front brakes callipers and rotors and took off my rears for cleaning/spraying. I got them back on no problem, but last week I couldn't bleed the fronts as I kept getting air coming through. That turned out to be the master cylinder leaking and I put a new piston kit in today. The problem I now have is I can't get any pressure on the pedal. I have bled the brakes 3 times (using instructions from TT.net and the Nissan manual) and there is no more air coming out. Unless I pump the pedal, I get no pressure and after about 10 seconds after I get pressure I press the pedal again, there is no pressure. Please, any suggestions?????????? Cheers Vijay

In order to test to see if my Autometer gauge is reading properly, Craig has kindly offered to let me hook his Blitz gauge up to my car and go for a test run. The difficulty is that Craig doesn't have the required pipework to attach the thing. The connector on the back of the gauge looks like this and he has some 2.5mm poly pipe that may or may not be anything to do with the gauge. Does anyone have any idea how this gauge should be connected up? It's a mechanical gauge incidentally.

Hi all, I have one of these and after reading about the auto feature of other makes thought I would have a look at mine. It seems it does have an auto setting (only realised after a year and a half lol). Could someone explain to me as I don't have a user manual how it works out the countdown time? I have noticed it increasing while driving and decreasing when stationary Many thanks as always. Martin ------------------

Hi, Just thought I would let those know - who don't yet. I run www.zcentre.co.uk for Luke, and www.zclub.net for the club. There have been a spate of email virus's going around at the moment. If you don't have a virus checker installed you probably have it. If you do have it you'll probably notice your PC has slowed down significantly. The slow down is caused by the virus replicating itself and infecting all your files. On a typical PC the virus can infect around 400 files an hour (I know - I tried it on my 'dirty PC' to see what effect it would have) The reason for writing this is to let everyone know the virus is V sneaky. It spoofs the sender…
