Came back to work tonight and on the way the whole car started shaking quite badly. I pulled into the middle lane (yawn) and slowed down to a sensible speed (yawn again!) but there was bad vibration (no bad jokes please!) still which was transmitted through to the steering wheel. The only thing that has been done recently is that I had all four wheels re-alloyed or coated or whatever its called, so all four wheels have been off thats all?. Anyone had this problem?. Tony

Ahoy there, how easy are sparky's to fit, it's service time again and need to change them. Shall I do it myself or take it to the grease monkey's? Also how do I clean my blitz air filter? Cheers, Andy

There i am, brake pads and discs replaced, not driven cos cars been in garage for 4 months and i get the car back. I get into the car, its running smooth and i pull up at some lights. A guy pulls up next to me, all looks. I decide that i've already won this race and i'm not even moving. just so he doesn't do it again, i decide to show him real power...... Lights change - Bang - i hit sixty in no time and see a white dot in my mirror................all of a sudden loss of power. Put the car in SE and they said my number 5 coil connector wasn't sitting properly. Anyway, i was running on five valves. So embarrassing but i pretended to slow down and let the car…

She has recently developed an occasional stall when I depress the clutch as I come to a stop. The revs overshoot idle then don't recover. Tends to happen only at top of motorway exit ramps so it's after she has a bit of excercise. Any ideas?? There are no other hesitations at all.

This has to be one of, if not THE prettiest cars I've ever seen

Worth a go. God knows we spend enough on Go Go juice! ********************************************* Join the resistance!!!! I hear we are going to hit close to 89p a litre by the summer. Want petrol prices to come down? We need to take some intelligent, united action. Phillip Hollsworth, in the USA, offered this good idea: This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy petrol on a certain day" campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves by refusing to buy petrol. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT, w…

Just rang my insurance company (Privilege) to add my other half to my insurance and it REDUCED the premium - even though she's younger, with less no claims and less driving experience. Dave

Hey, hopefully you can help me... I've been looking at this 1990 300ZX with about 78000 miles. When I took it for a test drive, it felt 100% top notch until 35mph, where it proceeded to get a vibration that felt drivers side rear.. The car has brand new tires on it, but I'll have the person have the alignment checked tomorrow. I read something about a driveshaft wobble, when the U-joints or center support bearing are going bad on the driveshaft.. Has anyone had this problem before? How did you fix it? How much did it cost you? Is it a BIG problem, would it have messed up anything else too which also would need to be fixed? Should I be looking for a different car? Thank…

Now come on, I've seen at least a dozen or more zeds flying around this town in the past couple of months, there must be at least a couple of you here on this forum?. I was one car behind a black one in Bitterne last night FFS. I have seen enough of them to make me think, mmmmm, there becoming too popular, time for a change...?

Found some of mine were slack. Seems the warm weather might have softened the pipes up a bit. Needless to say a simple tighten up and a lot more boost and shove in the back. Must have been losing pressure thru one of them which was really slack due to a stripped Jubilee clip. Wille

As you know i've been faffin around with brakes a lot latly. So why are some calipers - ours and many alike on the front upper third of the disc. And others on the rear upper third of the disc ie-scooby, intergrale etc. Which actually cools quicker, the more i think about it the more pros & cons i think of for both.......No differance in either or has one of you the answer.

Going up a steep hill with 3 empty lanes, me and a WRX. Hit the bottom of the hill in 3rd bubbling away at 3500rpm, Ready to rock give it WOT and got past him at the redline in 3rd with the exhaust howling like a banshee Ive only got a jap spec 180 kmh clock but it was way off that and reading into the boost gauge segment when I backed off. Probably the steep hill is where the extra torque of the 300 helps. Bring em on baby! Paul

Hiya All Checking me tyres at the weekend to find the rear drivers side tyre is nearly bald, yet the opposite side has a good couple of thousand left in it. I had the tracking done in January, so if the tracking isn't out, what could it be, I will be having the tracking checked when I have the tyre changed. Any sugestions?? Regards JOHN
