I know some of you have had the problem with the sender unit on the underside of the gearbox - ie. it screws up the power steering, and brings in some sort of limit when driving hard - maybe a rev limit at about 5500 ? Anyway, do you know if the english sender unit will fit on a Jap box the car is a 91 TT cheers

I just had this in on email, makes for interesting reading, if you agree to help please copy and paste the text below into an email. With an average fuel consumption of 19mpg, this will hurt us more than most! Tim I hear we are going to hit close to 89p a litre by the summer. Want petrol prices to come down? We need to take some intelligent, united action. Phillip Hollsworth, in the USA, offered this good idea: This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy petrol on a certain day" campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves by refus…

Finally got round to chnaging my rear shocks last night. Didn't put anything flash on just the stock items. Have been meaning to do it since I got the car. So three years on it's done!!. The car still had the original shocks on and to say they were completely wankered would be an understatement. Took me about 4 -5 hours to do last night. Not as difficult to do as I first thought. the biggest pain being you have to strip all the rear plastic trim out the car. Why nissan could not have just made a removable clap above the top of the shock I don't know!!! Well I must say I had rather a large smile on my face when I got home (the missus didn't cause it was 10.30PM). Gave…

Two or three times now my Z has refused to start until i've moved the lever through the gears. I presume the switch is wearing out that senses it is in park/neutral. Is it easy to change, how much are they and has anyone got a spare lying around?

Hi guys, Not strictly a Z person, but thought this might interest someone or other. One NOS (Nitrous Oxide Systems) kit up for grabs. All necessary bits (wiring, switches, solenoids, hoses) manual (albeit stained cos Rob B spilt something on it) and a nice shiny blue bottle. And some jets, but I'm not entirely sure of the ratings. One's around 100, the rest I reckon from 25-50. No, there is no gas left in it Offers around £300 Cheers Steve Just a thought sorry, better make it clear, it does currently have one nozzle, so some playing required for twin throttle bodies... I have some brand new Skyline R32 GTR front and rear calipers for sale. Fronts are the same mounting spacing as R33 and 34 GTR (same upright). They take a slightly smaller pad, but wait! I also have new ceramic pads, the ultimate pad for the R32, developed in Japan with Nissans input, and will even make stock brakes on a 32 / 33 / 34 survive track usage. They were ULTRA expensive, but I have a job lot, and can sell at 110 pounds an axle set, for fronts (use with stock rears, the backs don't do a great deal). The new R32 calipers are 190 pounds a pair, plus postage. I have pictures of them to put on my web site later. I may also be getting these ceramic pads in R33 / …

As you may know, I've got two 300ZX's for sale (see previos message with photos). If you have a 300ZX with problems or if you've crashed it, then I may be able to help. You could Part Ex your "broken Z" against one of my A1 300ZX's. I would dismantle your part exchange, so if you wanted to keep anything from your original Z, then you're welcome to do so. Plus if you can find anything wrong with my 300ZX's, then I'll give you the part you need, for free of course. Just an idea ??????? Thanks AndyZ (01634 221783 or geewhizz@onetel.net.uk)

I just wanted to make this public apology to Ian (Mac1). I had an MSN conversation with him a while ago which conincided with me having a very bad day or two. This unfortunately resulted in me being very rude to him (which is quite out of character for me, I think the people who know me will agree). Since it seems half the forum know I was very rude to him, he would seem like a bit of a softy if he let this go which is why I'd like to publicly apologise for what I said and I hope we can go back to being friends like we were before this happened. Sorry. Andy

I've had 3 autometer gauges now, all giving different readings. The latest one does at least read zero when switched off, but only 11psi at max boost using boost jets. I'm still not really confident that the figure is accurate, so I don't want to put smaller jets in and risk blowing the engine without checking that the 11psi is accurate first. Anyone with an accurate boost gauge near Redhill that I can hook up to my car temporarily? Also, during testing my undertray fell off . Is it a bad idea to drive the car without the undertray or is it OK until it rains?
