Q for Tooley re: ice/sound proofing

ive just had a monster install put in. The boot needs a last layer on top to cover the amps/leads etc but other than that its complete.

problem is the vibrations. Anything plastic/not welded down is making it sound bad. I know about the dynomat or whatever its called but £13 for 2 little pads is gonna empty my pockets.

oes any1 have any advice/know any alternatives. Tooley what did you use for your monster install.

O and its really funny driving down the motorway seeing the windows vibrating. smile.gif

hi BABA-JAN give this company a try they do all the sound dead stuff plus new carpets for the z www.woolies-trim.co.uk

i have just used some sound deadening called 'sound dead' got it from a local ice dealer payed £60 for 4 rolls of 4 feet by 2 feet, worked a treat,

the dynamat is dear for a reason m8...its quality why skrimp on cost now after what you've done to it you can buy dynamat in a spray application and its a lot easier to use but i'd recommend a large tube to feed any wires through in the rear in case you ever need to get to them again once dry the dynamat is rock hard and you have to heat it and its real messy. if you rear set up is built into an enclosed set up and all covered from the top like mine then life will be easy as you can just use a fibre matting or even old clothing placed around the indicator clusters/rear panel to stop the vibration.there's no way of stopping the hatch vibrating if you are putting out serious volume but its good watching ure rear wiper bounce up and down. the fronts are the pain and you'll need to dynamat the whole door on each side....im sure bob would do you a deal and he'll tell you the true measure of a system is how much sound and quality you here and keep inside your car and not what can be heard outside

I use "Brown Bread" sound deadning, this is the same as Dynamat. I can supply at a good price and best put a couple of layers on. 2 layers gives 3 times the deadning.
