This is warm idle,stock boost=-9psi,mechanical=-17psi,Oil stock=29psi,mechanical=41psi.

Quite a difference .

So that puts beond doubt that the stock electrical guages are rubbish then.

Good one. I was questioning the stock gauges last week. I guess that answers it for me.

 

Dunk,I fitted it to the oil filter housing,there is a 10mm bolt about 2" from the base of the oil filter.Beware if you do this make sure the nylon pipe is well protected from the heat of the engine.I inserted the pipe into a fuel pipe,then wraped that in heatshield foil approx 5mm thick.

Can't wait to get myself sorted out with da same bud. As you said 80 squids for a new oil pressure sensor from Nelson puts it all into perspective. Although I did need mine to try and fix a leak but stuff that when you can get a decent gauge for silly money!!!
