Hi.... My name is Kristinn and I have problem with my Z. I own a 300zx two seater ´90 US edition it has 160.000 miles on it. It has A/C, I´m having problems with the idle, when the A/C is on, the idle is steady at 1100rpm but when it´s off it rocks up and down from 300rpm up to 1600rmp. I have already changed the throttle position sensor and levelled it of at 4,7 volts but it still doesn´t idle like it should. Also, when I disconnect one vacum line in the engine it idles correctly, but it can´t be driven like that, but when I connect the vacum line it starts rocking from 300rmp to 1600rpm. My problem only occurs when the car is idling not durin…

  4. G'day. I am looking for a reasonably good one of these - pref with the thin cross hatching plastic screen underneath still intact. The passenger's side panel: Reason is I am going to repaint it - and the driver's side I've already got and then swop with the tatty, chipped ones on the car. Thanks, All - Gio PS - if you have, you might be able to prize some money off me on saturday if you're coming. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/ubbforum/Forum4/HTML/000054.html ------------------ [This message has been edited by Gio (edited 23-04-2002).]

Hi guys. Got a 1990 TT. Okay heres the problem. Have just recently got an idle problem ( car seems to struggle ticking over). It's hovering at about 650rpm to 750rpm. Seems "lumpy" as well at tickover. Drives fine when you go but when stopping at the lights she struggles to tick over again. However I recently took the car off Optimax and went to Premium unleaded. Also changed the stock filters for replacement Cooper ones. The stock ones were black underneath. Since changing them and the fuel she's struggling to tick over. Now I hear members stating to check the PTU connectors and TPS connectors. Anything else I should look for? Thanks guys.

These wankers are at it again; Veilside.co.uk are at it again, you remember the story of the nighmare I had with them and Sahill motors? if not read back through old posts. Anyway....I was a bit bored and looking at some dealer sites and www.Veilside.co.uk have now another site, www.kaguzuchi.com on which they sell the same cars, example: they are both expecting a Black Z mid may.....funny that. They use the same write ups, i.e. 'Sold within 24 hectic hours' etc, etc.... From my own experience DO NOT buy from Veilside, Kaguzuchi and Sahill they are all linked and owe me £4,000 of which I cannot get out of them as Sahill went under but cars that wer…

Before removing the temp sensor for a clean up i noticed a small squarish metal clip around the connector similar sort of size to a paper clip. Does this have to be removed before trying to disconnect the sensor ??

Where's best on price? Heard about Mickledever (or however you spell it?!) Anyone got a phone number? Need some cheap 18's as i'm going for 285's on the rear. Got quoted £440 EACH for Bridgestone S02's! I did laugh at the guy. Anyone used Dunlop Sport 9000's? They look nice and have an anti-curb rim at a very good price. They have a similar tread to Goodyear Eagle F1's (too dear I think) Macca mentioned the BF Goodrich thingies but they don't do a 285. Sob! www.tyres-sold-online.co.uk seem cheap. Anyone used em?

Hi chaps anyone had or know to the damage posibility if timing belt breaks when the engine is running, albeit at idle? is it worth a new belt to see or has the grim reaper dealt his death wish? Incidently this is a customer`s car and it may be covered by warranty as the dealer put in writing the belt had been changed, having partially stripped the front it is well clear this belt is the original! Warning to all, change them belts unless you are 100% sure of it. Jeff TT Ps How can you be 100% sure of your belt?? change it that`s how.
