Best aftermarket exhaust for TT?

Whats the best aftermarket exhaust for the TT ( only want back end). I'm looking at a Mongoose ( I know there are better) but are they any good? Any HP gains? Sound? How much? Where and who supplies them? Thanks all.

Everyone seems to go for Mongoose for general use but sky's the limit as you go for more and more performance.

Tech forum - search for exhaust and loads of opinions.

One supplier who happens to be on this forum is http://www.grasshopperprosport.co.uk/

Got my name down for one as my standard mild steel Nissan piece of c**p has got holes in it!

I've just ordered a Mongoose from Johnny so give him a ring and see what he suggests.

Mongoose is a good buy. Not too loud but sounds nice. Its a lot cheaper than the 'big name' Jap ones and is of full stainless construction (unlike some of the Jap ones).

Hi Stuart

If you do go for the mongoose they are a good buy. I have had mine over a year now and it is superb. As Dave has said it is not too loud but has a nice throaty tone to it. Have to say my mongoose exhaust sounded even better when I put some straight through front pipes on.

Johnny at GPS got mine for me. He got them from Luke at the Zed centre. Luke was using my set at the time to take pictures of for his product brochure. So my advice would be to go to either of these firms. Both very good IMO.

I think as far as power gains go a cat back system with give a slight increase. But more would be got by getting rid of those nasty cats!!!.(watch out for turbo oil seal faliure if you go that route!!)

Did you want to retain the Quad tips look or do you want to go for just two end pipes?. Or you could go for just one (see 300Z's rides section). That's a point, where is Wazzer?. Have not heard one mention of super dragger exhausts yet!!!!!

B&B Triflo all the way.

Nothing else like it.

But lots of $$$$$

I import mine from US $1100 + $400 for shipping

But the sound and looks is unique.

Thanks guys. Think I'll opt for the Goose with quad pipes. Cant really afford much better..oh well...expensive "toys"!!!

Stuart you will be very happy with the Mongoose, had mine for 2 years now wink.gif.

I've got Remus Back boxes, they look...wellard. Twin Stainles Steel tips on each side 70mm wide each tip. I got them from Elite in Rainham Essex. About £500. Check out my Dyno results in Japanese performance mag, there's a post about it somewhere on the forum.

Then again don't get them, get Mongoose like evrybody else and I can still be different.

Quoted me £175 per side for backboxes, custom made & you can have whatever tailpipes you want - bargain.

Definitly what I'll be going for.

I KNOW ILL GET SLATED FOR THIS.

I have the single Super Dragger, and i know it looks crap, but regarding sound my opinion is is even nicer than the B&B, i drove next to one with B&B and it was very loud at idle and up to about 4000rpm then it was not that bad.

Grants pipes look very nice i have to say.

Regarding performance i dont think there will be anything in it really between all the different exhausts.

Scorpion for me with quad tail pipes, de-catted so nice and throaty just like me Honda!!

Bob

Nothing is as throaty as your Honda. The neighbours are still recovering !
