Hi All, I have a strange tooting noise that reveals itself when the car is accelerating sometimes. I think I've heard it referred to as clutch 'honk'. Anyone else experienced this? Is it normal? Is my clutch slipping??? :-( The car is a 90TT Auto Jap. Cheers, RobH

A guy who used to work for Garrett's is now working at our place and I got onto the topic of Turbos and boost pressures with him. He was really quite high up the technical marketing ladder and knows his T25s from his T28s etc... Anyway, he pointed out that to increase the boost pressure you'd simply need to adjust the wastegate actuator arm rather than putting boost jets in - after all, the pressure is still going to be the same throughout the entire hose, a restricted jet might slightly delay opening (through interfering with the flow) but it won't make any difference to the actuating pressure. I'm not trying to re-write the turbo bible but I did think his…

It still aint F-ing right, ever since I got the Damn thing. It works then doesnt. Who used the wiring for TT.net? Is that right, becuase if the inline fuse goes on the TC box, the whole F-car wont work, becuase that is the power to the ECU. I really Feked off about it. It dangerous. It works for a day, I try pull out of into traffic quickly and cos it then stops working my car comes to a grinding halt when it reaches 1750rmp. F-ed off with it really. Stuart

Dear All I have seen some (what look like) good import Z32s for sale, but am wondering a few things. The auto box will require an external oil cooler to be fitted, and I know they do not have a diff. cooler. Can a diff. cooler be fitted? Are there any major differences to be aware of, like parts for example and what is their reliability like compared to UK spec ones? I would like one that is stock and would like to keep it stock as I have heard that they are not built as well as european models. Please can you email me at mj1100@hotmail.com. Any information will be greatly received. Regards MJ [This message has been edite…

Any one have one? Whats the cost gonna be? Obviously it has to be in good nick. I have noticed a damp line under the passenger rear wheel arch, with wet mud stuck to it. The mud reaks of petrol. So its either the tank or neck. I have a 91 UK, if that makes a difference. Mail me. SRRAE@hotmail.com Stuart

Smithy I've sent you an email. Just to know when the Apexi induction kit and the Gauges are going to arrive as I've booked a DYNO run in 2 weeks time. It would be good to have the parts fitted before then. Cheers

After starting the car this morning the revs were at the normal (cold start) 1400rpm. The strange thing was that when I pressed the accelator the revs dropped to around 800rpm before picking up. Anyone know what is causing this please? After she was warm the revs settled at the usual 700rpm and she picked up fine. Should I be worried? Many thanks ------------------
