WE THOUGHT IT WAS ABOUT TIME THAT WE PUT ACROSS OUR SIDE OF THE STORY. WARREN A.K.A 300ZX CAME INTO XOTICAR AS A CUSTOMER. WHEN HE CAME TO US HE TOLD US THAT HE RUNS THE 300ZX FORUM AND IF WE GAVE HIM DISCOUNT ON WORK DONE TO HIS CAR HE WOULD GET US WORK FROM YOU GUYS IN THE FORUM, WE AGREED AND SAID WE WOULD GIVE DISCOUNTS TO ANY OF THE MEMBERS(DID HE EVER MENTION THIS?) AFTER A PERIOD OF TIME I STARTED TO CLASS HIM AS A FRIEND RATHER THAN A CUSTOMER. HE ATTENED TRACK DAYS, AUTOSPORT SHOW AND MANY OTHER SOCIAL THINGS WITH US. AS TIME WENT ON HIS FAVOURS BECAME MORE INVOLVED AND EXPENSIVE, ON A FEW THINGS I HAD TO CHARGE HIM NEAR RETAIL MONEY THATS WHEN THE PROBLEM STARTED WITH US. ALL OF THE ALLIGATIONS AGAINST US ARE UNTRUE(HAS ANY ONE SEEN ANY PROOF OF US RIPPING HIM OFF)AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNERED WARREN IS A PONCE HE GOES TO VARIOUS COMPANIES WITH THE SAME STORY AND THEN WHEN THE FAVOURS RUN OUT HE TURNS NASTY. OTHER COMPANIES THAT HE HAS MADE ALLIGATIONS ABOUT ARE TDI, SILVA ENGINEERING AND GRASSHOPPER. IS IT LIKELY ALL OF US HAVE RIPPED HIM OFF IS HE THAT STUPID TO STAND THIS 4 TIMES OR COULD HE POSSIBLY BE LYING, I WILL LEAVE THIS UP TO YOU TO MAKE YOUR OWN DISCESSION WE ARE TAKING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST WARREN AND WE WILL LET YOU KNOW THE OUTCOME. WE HAVE HUNDREDS OF CUSTOMERS WHO ARE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR SERVICE WE DO OUR BEST TO HELP WHEN EVER WE CAN, I GUESS YOU CANT PLEASE EVERYBODY ALL OF THE TIME. In this country we have big and nasty and expensive lawyers who deal with this sort of thing, maybe for Nico and Craig's sake we should let them do just that.

 

 

i'm sure he's not the first person to use not just the forum to try and get things cheaper by saying he'll get more business for the company involved which isnt to say its right but equally things have been done to warren and his mrs that are way beyond any dispute if what im told is to be believed. the trouble with things like this is all the past squabbles that had been buried will be dragged up again but we'll now have to wait and see how this threads goes

A: Do a search to see if i have bad mouthed xoticar on this forum. See for yourself.

B: I never said i run this forum, i said i was a member and that potenitally i could get you customers.

C: I did get you customers, and you managed to lose them.

D: Any problems i had with SE everyone knows about,i will never change my stance.

E: Regarding TDI they were kind enough to phone me and the problem was solved.

F: Regarding Johhny, i never slagged him of in any way, in any form. Again Problem solved.

G: Regarding the magazine article, well it is a complete shambles, The supposed deal was I would use Xoticars name on my car in return for Work, done. (By the way about 50% of the work they have ever done on my car has been satisfactory, ill get to that point later)So they could get the advertising.

Well they got the advertising, i got nothing in return.

H: Johhny at GRASHOPPER Supplied me 95% of the parts on my car, not Xoticar.Thanks Johhny

I: I have chosen not to get into a slinging match, here because of the allegations made by the above company, and the death threats by the owner.These issues are being dealt with.

J: You never once said you would give discounts to members.

 

K: I have a list of things i have still not had finished on my car, that were to be done by them, and have been paid for.

 

1: Guage pod was Fitted, charged for, it was not even stuck down, or mounted properly.

2: Was charged for Fitting boost guage, Water temperature sensor. (niether was connected up)

3: I have shown pictures of my Clutch, i need say no more.

4: I could go on, and there is alot more, Email me if you are interested.

I have to sympathise with both parties here. Assuming I am well meaning and genuine in my dealings with a company I do expect them to treat both me and my car (or whatever) with both care and attention to detail. Likewise if a customer comes to me for work to be done, assuming that I treat him and his car with that same level of care, I would expect to be treated with respect and honesty.

Exactly. But we're never really going to know what went on between Warren and Xoticar and the only people who will ever know are the 2 concerned parties.

 

The forum really isn't the place to hash out these issues. Fair play, we've heard the saga from both sides now, but that's as much as can happen here.

 

Hopefully it will get sorted to their mutual satisfaction.

Somehow I doubt it reading the tone.

well i was told about this post from a mate of mine who has a 300zx (i myself do not). i dont know the full story of all of this, but from my own account of Xoticar, they are very helpful and do an excellent job with my car.even when i have gone to them without a booking for my car to be worked on, they always try and help me out as best they can.i have known Xoticar for quite some time now and do not have any problem with them what so ever. this post of mine may not seem important to you, but i thought it would be nice to get another voice from a very happy customer of Xoticar.

I don't normally bother posting replies to these sort of arguments but feel that Xoticar is being unfairly sl***ed off for providing a service that is far beyond the call of duty.

 

I have purchased three cars from Xoticar and have received excellent service from all members of staff. If anyone knows Bill they will agree that he bends over backwards (not what you might think) to assist in even the smallest of matters. In all my years of driving I can honestly say that I have not received the high level of service that Xoticar provides from any other garage.

 

Warren what’s with the following statement?

I don’t know if you remember me but I was the guy with the blue EVO 6. Warren we had a good chat on a couple of occasions and you seemed a very nice guy. I don't know what is going on but I do remember you telling me that you did run the 300ZX forum and was going to generate work for Bill through this avenue. You also sla**ed of one other company to me that I will not name.

 

I also recalled that every time I popped down to Xoticar you where always there. I even asked if you where a new sales man because you always seemed to be on the shop floor or in the garage.

 

I wish I had your balls as every single mod to my car I have to pay for materials and labour. It would be nice to get something FREE once in a while.
