Anyone know if the uk front bumper water jets have a separate relay or summat cus mine dont spray. They dont even buzz when you press the button.

windscreen jets are fine.

If I try using them on mine, the back windscreen wiper goes and sweet fa happens with the washer jets... smile.gif

Never use them myself. Fail to see the point of something that will wet the dust on your lights but nothing to wipe it away with....

Mine squirts the que at the bus stop, nasty but fun.

I find a Supa Soaka gives a better result. biggrin.gif

So - anyone have any ideas. I know there is something called a check valve in the piping behind the bumper but not sure if this is what gives the juice.

Hi Cos!!

A check valve is another name for a one-way valve. It prevents water draining back to the tank. It will be the motor in the tank that pumps the water to the required orifices!

All,

The Z has three pumps for the water squirters:

1 for rear window

1 for front window

1 for lights

The pump for lights is about twice the size of the others, as it is a high pressure pump, and blasts any crap off your headlights.

I'm not sure about a seperate relay - but I guess there must be one

Also front wipers are supposed to wipe too, and you will always get 'splash back' HAHA. Ajay, not sure why your rear wiper goes but hey!

Anyway, I'd post a picture if anyones interested.

And the front-end wiring loom is out of car at the moment - perhaps over the weekend when I put it back in - I'll have a look and see where the relay is

Cheers peeps

I did something daft yesterday, sat at traffic lights, I decided to wash the screen. Now this is OK with roof fitted, but I got soaked DOH!! Hope no-one was looking!!

Changing the subject, someone on the 200sx forum suggested using redundant headlamp washers as an intercooler waterspray. Sounds a good idea, just don't put any suds in the water, we don't want bubbles out of the exhausts!!

Regards

Robert
