Anyone got or used a GReddy Profec A Cadburys boost controller?

Right ladies, have any of you got one or had the opportunity to play with one? Boost controller I mean, not a real girl! LMFAO biggrin.gif

After much humming and ha-haaaing over boost I have decided not to have a fixed jet install but go for something more flexi.

I like the Blitz but there's a sort of Darth Vader presence about the GReddy, looks like Lord Invaders flashing light panel on his chest plate!!! ROFL biggrin.gif

Here's a pic...

Someone mentioned, I think, that the new Blitz is 32 bit whereas the GReddy is 16 bit but uses fuzzy bear logic. Does the Blitz use fuzzy???

TIA

Cheers mate, but wanna know how good they are in the field! However, that has answered one thing that concerend me. When the boost increases above set boost the alarm sounds but after a second it returns boost back to stock. Good effort! wink.gif

LOL i was to lazy to read it all, but they are very good units, Great company name.

Have to concur - GReddy have my respect 100%

Tim, I've been ummin and arseing about fitting the HKSEVC4 valve controller I bought off Simon H a while back, just time really (+ its a bit scarey)

But from what I gather they are bloody marvellous gizmos - the hks learns something or other and gives you something or another or-other boost uppage.

If I could find some friggin t-pieces in me garage i'd have a crack at fitting it.

Prolly end up blowing up me Zed tho smile.gif

Greddy are the dogs danglies why do you think they are called TRUST products!!!

I have the Greddy Profec B controller on my car,it's real easy to use and holds the boost perfectly, rock solid with no spikes at all!!! Honestly there's not much else other than Greddy i would buy or even fit to my 300 and my Trust turbo kit will be bolted on soon!!!

Not saying that all the rest are shite, just from my experience Greddy take the prize!!

Timmy,

NO offence bud - But I would severly recommend you go with the HKS EZ EFC. It is much easier to configure and use than the Profec line - which are very good units btw.

All you do with the EZ unit is dial in the boost you want and there you do. No pissing about with duty cycles, bandwidths Etc. I bet 50% of people on here that have a AVC-r aren't gettin the boost they dialed in wink.gif

Please please buy it - im gettin desperate now god damit !!!

With an AVCR you're not the one that decides what boost you want to get....it will decide it for you and if you're lucky it will be higher then stock boost ! wink.gif

I think youll find Trust are an Umbrella company, They have a whole load of companys under them?? (i stand to be corrected)

But they employ the likes of Greddy, mines, HKS ect to make them products.

(this is what i know, and im nto sure it is correct)

Just got my HKS EVC4 from MJP and it looks great. It is getting fitted next week. Only problem is working out what the hell to set it at to get the best out of the upgrades. The learning mode is simple enough and should be some fun, but the low, high, scramble, automode, warning boost level, duty cycle, etc. That is too f*****g technical for me and as I don't want the dash looking like the starship enterprise I am having the wiring modified to use existing switches. The high setting will be activated by linking it via a relay to the autobox power circuit and the scramble circuit will be run from a small black push button switch on top of the righthand dash switch unit. Nice simple and means the control unit can be hidden away out of sight of any prying eyes and thieving minds. Will let you know if it works in a couple of weeks. Then I may even beat someone at the Pod next time.

Hey Nick you calling me Mr Thicko??? ROFL biggrin.gif

I understand what you are saying but I have read a bit about the Profec A and it does sound like a bollox bit of kit.

I think half the trouble with these gizmos is getting them a) installed by someone who knows wtf they are doing! and b) having them setup by someone who knows wtf they are doing! wink.gif

Now I am prepared to pay good money to said person as I wouldn't take that on in a million years! But once they are installed and setup I think, especially the Profec A, should be relatively easy to use. Not that many buttons or dials to fuck about with FFS!!! LOL biggrin.gif

Nick, getting one, then coming round to your place in the MAC2 Stillen Beast! wink.gif Beer tokens at the ready bud. biggrin.gif
