Westfield XTR2:

Powered by a GSXR1300R Suzuki Hayabusa engine(mid-mounted) with a 6 speed constant mesh sequential box and a road trim weight of 440kg! This thing is supposed to fly!! eek.gif

Cost: approx £12,000ish for the DIY kit or £23,000ish for a built one.

Have a look at the Can-Am orange one here - http://yellowmelon.dnsalias.com/xtr2/xtrtesting.htm or http://www.xtr2.net/

P.S anyone wanna go halves on one? biggrin.gif

Mega cheap insurance as well cos its only a 1300. biggrin.gif

Or you could just spend half that amount and buy a second hand hayabusa and go even faster.

A second hand hayabusa would be a road/track killer but bikes aint for me, loads of respect to bikers but my skinny bones aint for breaking! biggrin.gif

That is Sooooooo nice, it is in the EVO magazine as a trackday car.

Perfect for trackdays, and i suspect that driven by A GOOD driver would probably have a hyabusa around brands for arguments sake. biggrin.gif

Not starting a flaming war with all the bikers, But one thing most bikes cant do is beat a car around a race track.(funny how the mroe i talk the more i am digging myself a decent trench here)

I wonder Trey how easy the do it yourself kit is, would make a nice project.

Rather have the Radical wink.gif

Not road legal but can be yours for £6K 9sencond hand), theseexamples are powered by CBR600, 0-60 -3.5sec, 370bhp per tonne!

Have seen the chassis fitted with various m/c lumps like Blackbird, Hyabusa etc.

Big fun!

0-60 in -3.5 secs... i guess that must be a stopping figure.. tongue.gif

I personally like the Z Cars (now called Tiger cars I think) twin fireblade engined Westfield. 0-60 2.7 seconds on slicks and 300+ bhp. mmmm

Is that sound machine of yours running dylan?

He punk?

And will it have a silencer for the next trackday?

Dylans car was louder than the sound limit at Kemble at IDLE LOL.

I'm not sure if its even worth trying to get it down from 120dB to 103 (105 for some tracks). I'd have to tow a trailer behind to hold the 15 silencers needed LOL.

I just wheeled it into my garage after Kemble (early November) and haven't opened the garage door since. I must remember to go to my garage and check its still there sometime (hope someone didn't nick it back in November LOL). Wonder how many snails and spiders live in it now?

Forget all those other "slow" cars, check out the Tiger Z100WR

twin 190bhp 1200cc bike engines

0-60 2.8 seconds (on road tyres hehe)

0-100 6.3

Anyone who's even been autograss racing and seen any of Chris Allinson's class 8 Z-cars or class 9 twin engined cars knows how much this guy knows about building fast cars

http://www.tiger-sportscars.demon.co.uk/cars/z100main.htm

Even their old "slow" twin 900cc car beat all these others

http://www.baileycar.com/acceleration_html.html

I rest my case, hehe

An article in Fast Bikes quite a few months ago was about 'busas, and what to do if you need more speed!! 3 options,

1. blueprint=not much more HP, but reliability up.

2. 1600cc big bore=222HP @ rear wheel wheelspin at 70mph in top off throttle!!!!

3. 1300cc TURBO=348HP @ rear wheel!!! Quote "..open throttle in sixth at 140mph, look down, look up, look down, now speedo is reading 200mph.."

FFS how fast is that???? Imagine that in a 440KG chassis with four sticky tyres and a sequential gearbox??

Hmmm, I need a flat-change sequential gearbox. That would be the best mod ever on a roadcar.

Knowing Chris Allinson, he'll probably have 2 of those turbocharged busa engines in a car before too long

Personally, I'd prefer a non-turbo setup, higher compression, more instant response, instant engine braking etc (although I guess bike turbos would be much smaller and able to spin up quicker). Not ridden a turbo bike so I can't really comment

I went karting last night and could have done with one of those busa engines in my kart as I started on the back row of the grid for the final.

Yeah I've orderewd one of these - I will let you know!

Excellent kit, just wish they would scale it up a bit - perhaps a foot wider and 3 feet longer - then it would be even better I think! It's not till you see a picture of one with a body inside it that you get to realize the real scale of the beast. Hey Ho!

Still, good for hammering round the leafy lanes of Berkshire right!!!

Cool! biggrin.gif

Are you getting the kit or ready built?
