first off the bloody how much.... went to nelsons today in manchester for a price for some shox for a 92 jap tt he quoted me 70 odd quid plus vat for the rears EACH.... Now heres the WTF, on the front he said the front nrside would be 80 odd quid plus vat, and then the off side front would be 90 odd quid plus vat,.... to be fair he diddnt understand it either Surely this cant be right, he did all the right stuff ie he took my vin details and everything, but i just dont get it. MY ZED WAS HAD FIRE DAMAGE I HAVE CHANGED ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING INCL WIRING LOOM ON THE CAR BUT IT DONT START........I HAVENT CHECKED THE ECU MAYBE THATS MESSED UP OR COULD IT BE MY ALARM/IMMOBILISER........ I THINK IT MAY JUST BE MY MECHANIS BEING LAZY COS WHEN EVER I GO TO HIM HE SAYS EVERYTHING IS CHANGED AND SHOULD START IN A DAY OR TWO........ ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS ON HOW I MAY GET IT STARTED OR ANY CHECKS I COULD DO COS I AINT GOT A CLUE AND MY MECHANIC KNOWS THAT AND I THINK HES TAKIN THE P***S COS I KNOW HE IS GOOD....... Can anyone recommend a garage for servicing the zed in the Hampshire area?. Have had it main dealer serviced up till now but would rather use a Specialist?. If I can't find a place then I'll probably go back to main dealer.

k, basically im transferring down to a job in london and as much as i love my zed i dont want to begin with the hassle of london traffic and have opted to walk to work. its a black 1990 2+2 tbar manual non-turbo. 54,000miles (bout 84kkm) i imported it myself from japan and have all the documents. I love this car and i know anyone that comes to see it will buy it. A lot of money has been spent on it, not as much as the likes of macca but a fair few thousand. It has a full japanese bodykit. Makes the car look amazing, the front bumper i love as its a classic jap mean looking front. Also large rear spoiler, makes the car look really good. Very sport…

Hi all. As some of you may remember a few months ago I was involved in a smash and my car was subsequently written off. I have been made several offers by way of compensation and the best offer to date is £6000. In view of the fact that I had just spent thousands having the engine re-built with new turbos, fitted an upgraded auto box, new bembros, scorpion ss exhaust with de-cat pipes, se chipped ecu, tsw alloys etc etc……..I stand to loose a small fortune. Who reckons these cars are seriously nice to look at ? There have been at least 2 different versions, and both look really nice to me. They also have nice engines, I believe. If I couldn't have a Nissan I would defo buy one.

Had fully closure yesterday added to thx Z ,ive got a toad Ai606 , so wanted the modules for shutting the windows added . Anywaz go to pick the Z up and the fitter backs the car out of the workshop, i get in with delight and start her up ..... to find the HICAS and ANTI-LOCK lights on the dash board light up like a xmas tree no power steering or nothing , so i go back in and tell him he just looks at me a bit lossed and shouts his colleague to help me so he checks the fuse boxes and to his dismay its in japenese and he aint got a clue what to do next , so i ring jeffTT (thx by the way much appreciated) and he tells the fitter what to do so eventually i…

got a slight misfire on the z so i did a search on the forum and told me to remove the coilpacks one by one to c a drop in rpm. so i did this and every one was showing a drop in rpm, but i had my doubts with one of them!! i put a spark plug in and fired it up and there was a spark??? so now i am scratching my head is it the injectors?? also where the misfire is coming from there is a slight rattle when i rev bit like a lazy tappet!! not sure what it is, just rememberd i also put a screwdriver on to the injectors and they all want tat tat tat is it ok to drive like this till i get it sorted?? could it b a duff plug?? any help or comments greatly…

I drive a G reg import 300zx twin turbo with an auto box. When I come to a temporary stop, say at the traffic lights should I shift to neutral and then use the hand brake? I think I should because ….. I am racing around too fast, see the lights at green and go for it! But they change so I throw out the anchor and stop with 2mm to spare. Now my front brake pads and quite hot, Digression … the front pads seem to do a lot more work than the rear and get replaced about twice as often as the rear… End of digression So, as I said, my front brake pads and quite hot and if I keep them pressed against the disks there is a small, but finite, possibility of …
