I recently bought my Z and was wondering what the best way to start it was? I have a key and have found that to be fairly efficient but is there any other way of getting her going? Someone mentioned to me that there is a crank handle in with the toolkit and that if the car won't start you can manually crank the engine like you could with the old bi-planes and cars of old. Any input much appreciated. TIA MARIA P.S. or should I have posted this in the Tech section??? ------------------ "Life sucks. Get a F**king helmet, okay?" Denis Leary

Again I drive G reg import with auto. So if the position of the auto gear stick whilst stopped was not interesting enough ... what about slowing down? As I come off the motorway onto the slip road I have developed the habit of disengaging the (so called) overdrive, to help the process of slowing. I now find myself shifting down to 2nd when I get down to say 2,500 rpm. Should I go further and shift to first - again when the rpm has reduced to a safe level or is this completely wrong and I should be using the brakes? Again points are scored for being informative, point deducted for bad language. Simon

I have a Road Angel unit on test at the moment, which is one of those GPS speed camera/accident blackspot warning things http://www.blackspot.com/ too early for me to say at the moment what i think, as its only been on for 100 miles and i only passed 4 cameras, but it will be getting more use These units retail for £379. I was at Blackspot yesterday and found out all the info. They wont do group buys or quantity discounts for anyone, but they will do a bundling offer They have offered to bundle the Road Angel and the Snooper SLD 920 Laser Blinder together for £579, saving £90 on the Blinder price effectively (RRP £290) http://www.snoope…

Got a new telescope a few weeks ago and not had chance to really use it, Here are a few pics taken from the telescope. They are not very good at the moment because I have not learn how to use it correctly and I need more practice, and darker skys They will be getting better in detail and is size when I get used to it and get it set up better. Hope you like. The Moon Slighy out of focus and not of a particulary interesting part either. An open star cluster This picture does not give the sight justice. Saturn Again, looks better when you see it for yourself and again better pics when I get it set up right This is wh…

Ok Ok so somebody already put a post up about it but im asking the same question for a different reason. At traffic lights etc when you are stationary under normal driving conditions should you put you car into neutral? I only ask this because surely if the car is in drive and you are holding it back the autobox is under unecessary strain as well as possibly other parts on the car or does the transmission have a feature to compensate for this? Just to really pee on my cornflakes before my car goes in for some real tasty goodies i think my autobox is about to commit suicide . Driving over to luke's the other day to order some stuff and as i was sitting in traffic i heard a horrible CLUNK!!. When i got to lukes and i had it in neutral all you could hear was a terrible grinding noise which oddly enough stopped when i put it back into drive and could only be heard on pull-off. If it has gone i think im gonna go manual in aticipation of more power as i think my box was about on its realistic limit really. I suddenly feel very empty inside. Cheerz LUKE DUKESTER (Totally gutted but i …
